    Abstract: In an arrangement for monitoring a connection between two elements (2, 3) of a medical tubing system, preferably an artificial respiration system, a first sensor element (6) is arranged on the first of both elements (3) and a second sensor element (5) is arranged on the second of both elements (2) in the area of the connection (1). At least one sensor element (6) has at least one signal generator which generates a warning signal when both sensor elements move away from each other beyond a predetermined distance.
