  • Patent number: 6946042
Abstract: In order to obtain a pyrotechnic body free of harmful materials, at least one primary explosive from a group of primary explosives is used, this group including atoxic metal cations of a mono- and a dinitrohydroxydiazobenzene (“diazinate”), a ditetrazole compound of highly nitrated organic compounds from salts of the ditetrazole and aromatic nitro bodies having easily replaceable molecular groups and atoxic metal cations of a dinitrobezofuroxane as primary explosives.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 2002
Date of Patent: September 20, 2005

  • Patent number: 6454072
Abstract: An annular friction-clutch facing (30) for a multi-disk clutch (10) includes an inner edge (32) and an outer edge (34) defining a width (w) of the facing (30). The facing (30) further includes a first group of grooves (136, 236) formed on the facing (30) and having first cross-sectional area. Each groove of the first group (136, 236) has a first opening (38) at the outer edge (34) and a second opening (40) at the inner edge (32) remote from the first opening (38) and is adapted to direct lubricating agents across the width (w) over a substantial area of the facing (30). The facing (30) further includes a second group of grooves (42) formed on the facing (30) and having a second cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area. The second group of grooves (42) includes first and second sets of grooves (44, 46, respectively). The grooves of the first set (44) are disposed in intersecting relationship with the grooves of the second set (46).

  • Patent number: 5544587
Abstract: In cannon ammunition including a cartridge case containing a propellant charge, a case bottom to which the cartridge case is connected, a charge igniter, and a primmer element positioned in the case bottom, the improvement in which the cartridge case is combustible, is connected to the primer element, and includes a combustible material and a pyrotechnical mixture which is embedded within the combustible material and which is composed of at least one reducing agent and at least one oxidizing agent which form a pyrotechnical redox system; and the charge igniter consists of the cartridge case.

  • Patent number: 5443009
Abstract: A charge arrangement for cartridge ammunition having a cartridge case, a bottom igniter secured in the case bottom and a primer that coaxially surrounds at least one part of the propellant composed of bulk powder and a tail-side part of a projectile that projects into the cartridge case. To ensure reliable ignition of the propellant bulk in a simple manner, a primer is provided that is comprised of either a separate, relatively thin-walled, combustible sleeve or the inner layer of a multilayer, combustible cartridge case which faces the propellant.

  • Patent number: 5259842
Abstract: A high pressure liquid dispenser for the delivering preferable sterile liquid with high pressure to a catheter. The dispenser includes a flexible or weak wall storage container in which the liquid to be dispensed is stored and a conduit from the front end wall of that container for dispensing liquid to a catheter. A pressure container around the storage container is stiff enough to take up the pressure of the liquid and the deformation of the storage container, so that the pressure of the liquid elevated by the pump piston may be substantially greater than without the protective pressure container around the storage container. A fluid actuated drive acts on the pump piston. The piston of the fluid actuated drive and the pump piston are respectively so shaped as to provide a pressure boost for producing higher pressure in the liquid in the storage container to produce the jet.

  • Patent number: 4621998
Abstract: A continuously-operating vulcanizing press, in which the article which travels through the press is guided on both sides between flexible enclosing strips which travel along with the article. A pressure mechanism, which acts upon the enclosing strips, is provided in the entry region of the press in order to already produce direct contact of the strips with the side edges of the pressed article in the starting phase of the vulcanization. In contrast to the heretofore known arrangement, which is disposed at a distance ahead of the press, the inventive arrangement provides a considerably more precise guidance of the enclosing strips, and hence also provides a qualitative improvement of the end product.
