  • Patent number: 9170020
Abstract: A monitoring device has a first flame detector, to receive a first batch of radiation, which is emitted by the first flame, a second flame detector, to receive a second batch of radiation, which is emitted by the second flame, a voltage supplying device to apply an alternating voltage with a first half wave and a second half wave to the two flame detectors and an evaluation circuit that is connected to the two flame detectors via a signal input. A first measurement signal that is present at the common signal input during the first half wave is indicative of the intensity of the first batch of radiation. A second measurement signal that is present at the common signal input during the second half wave is indicative of the intensity of the second batch of radiation. The evaluation circuit independently evaluates the first measurement signal and the second measurement signal.

  • Publication number: 20110311922
Abstract: Before start-up of a burner, minimum and maximum actuating positions of an actuating drive are set by setting elements. During control of the actuating drive, an automatic firing mechanism receives from a position transducer position signals dependent on the actuating position of the actuating drive reached during operation. The automatic firing mechanism assigns to the minimum actuating position the position signal measured during the feedback of the minimum actuating position of the actuating drive, and assigns to the maximum actuating position of the actuating drive the position signal measured during the feedback of the maximum actuating position of the actuating drive. Using the position signals assigned to the minimum and maximum actuating positions, corresponding control parameters are determined for activating the minimum and maximum actuating positions, and the control parameters are stored.

  • Publication number: 20070175624
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for temperature regulation/limitation in a heat generating installation, said device comprising at least one probe (Tk) that is connected to a regulator (20) which, in turn, is connected to an automatic heating system (40) by means of a communication interface (30). The inventive device is characterised in that the automatic heating system (40) comprises a safety module (41) which compares the temperature detected by the probe, forwarded to the regulator and transmitted from the regulator to the automatic heating system by means of the communication interface, with a maximum admissible safety temperature (TSTB) stored in the safety module (41), and in that, once the safety temperature is reached or exceeded, the safety module (41) generates a cut-off signal which causes the installation to be cut off by the automatic heating system.

  • Patent number: 6061226
Abstract: There is proposed a circuit for operation of at least one relay having an OFF-position and an ON-position, wherein the relay assumes the OFF-position in the event of a component failure of any element of the circuit. In the ON-position of the relay a capacitor, the relay and a voltage source are switched in a predetermined cycle in such a way that in a first time interval of the cycle the voltage source delivers a current which flows through the relay and partially charges up the capacitor and that in a second time interval of the cycle the capacitor delivers the current which flows through the relay, with the capacitor being partially discharged again.

  • Patent number: 5629879
Abstract: The information on the state of switchgears (2.1;2.2) appearing on call circuits in the form of analog low-voltage signals is conveyed in parallel to a circuit block (4). The information is digitalized at given points in time in the form of binary values "0" or "1" and is transmitted in series to a microprocessor (1). Preferably the circuit block (4) comprises at least one shift register in cascade connection. Call circuits are coupled to the circuit block solely via a high-impedance resistor (3.1;3.2). The circuit block (4) is supplied by a voltage supply circuit (5) so that when one of the switchgears (2.1;2.2) is in the open state, a current flows alternately via one of the protection diodes (D1S.1,D2S.1;DIS.2,D2S.2) of the circuit block (4), and does not do so when one of the switchgears (2.1;2.2) is in the closed state. To ascertain whether a voltage (U.sub.1,U2) at the input (4.1;4.2) of the circuit block (4) is D.C. or A.C.

  • Patent number: 5619131
Abstract: An electronic monitoring system provides an actual value sensor which detects an actual value of a component to be monitored, e.g., the rotational speed of a drive motor, and emits actual value signals, a signal path along which actual value signals are transmitted, and an evaluating unit connected to the signal path. The signal path is divided into two separate but parallel signal paths along which the actual value signals emitted by the actual value sensor are processed differently. For example, the actual value signals emitted by the actual value sensor may undergo digital signal processing along one path and analog signal processing along the other path. The actual value signals transmitted along the two paths are received by the evaluating unit which compares the signals and initiates appropriate steps if there are deviations between the two sets of actual value signals.

  • Patent number: 5416300
Abstract: An automatic furnace comprises an actuator for an electric igniter. The electric igniter has a distinctly lower standard voltage, e.g., 120 V, than the network voltage, e.g., 230 V and is operated by the network voltage. The network voltage is fed into the power regulator before the igniter. The power regulator clocks the network voltage with an adjustable keying ratio, so that only part of the full wave trains of the network voltage becomes active at the electric igniter. In an advantageous embodiment, the keying ratio is variegated by the actual level of the network voltage.
