  • Patent number: 5570500
Abstract: A clamp (1) serves for connecting webs (2) at the edges of form panels disposed in coplanar, side-by-side relation and has for this purpose two clamping jaws (4) urging these edge webs (2) together, each clamping jaw (4) having an 10 adjusting arm (5) which is at an angle thereto and is located at the jaw-end remote from the clamping point (4a). The adjusting arms (5) in turn have points for applying an actuating or adjusting element in the form of a wedge (9), these points of application on the two adjusting arms (5) suitably being combined to form a single point for applying the wedge (9). The wedge (9) can slide along between this point of application and the edge webs (2), suitably on the abutment (12) belonging to the clamp (1), and thereby can move the point of application and accordingly the adjusting arms (5) away form the lining skin (3) and thereby close the clamping jaws (4).

  • Patent number: 5369851
Abstract: A clamp (1) serves for formwork panels (2) arranged in-plane, side by side, to be connected at the webs (3) running round their edges and has for this purpose two clamping jaws (4) which urge these edge webs (3) together and can be swivelled relative to each other and to a mount (8) with the aid of a wedge (7), the mount simultaneously constituting the abutment for the wedge (7). The clamping jaws have for this purpose points (6) of application for the wedge face (7c) averted from face (7b), which points of application (6) are spaced from the swivel bearings (5) of the clamping jaws (4) and are under a lever arm. These points of application (6) are suitably arranged at the inner end of an elongated and guiding slot (10) which is open towards the opposite side and also affords lateral guidance for the wedge as it moves.

  • Patent number: 5064163
Abstract: A form for the pouring of concrete has first and second panels which are disposed edge-to-edge. Each of the panels has a flange projecting from the major surface of the respective panel and the flanges have confronting first surfaces which are perpendicular to the major surfaces of the panels and are designed to abut one another. The flanges have second surfaces which face away from the first surfaces and the second surfaces are inclined to the major surfaces of the panels so that the flanges narrow in a direction away from the panels. A clamping element designed to embrace the flanges is pivotally mounted on the first panel and is movable between a released position and a clamping position in which it embraces the flanges. The second panel carries an abutment and the clamping element has a free end which is located between the abutment and the flange of the second panel in the clamping position.

  • Patent number: 4821995
Abstract: A clip for abutting marginal flanges of forms for formworks which are used for the pouring of concrete has a cylindrical housing for two slidable arcuate clamping elements at opposite sides of a radially extending recess for the flanges. A wedge is movable between those end portions of the clamping elements which are remote from the recess to urge the elements against the exposed sides of the flanges. The wedge can be slidably coupled to the clamping elements so that it can urge the elements against or disengage the elements from the flanges in the recess.
