  • Patent number: 6124654
Abstract: A drive system is described that uses an electric motor and a rotary angle measuring system. The measuring system shaft is supported in roller bearings in a stator which is supported relative to the electric motor in a nonrotatable fashion by means of a stator coupling. The measuring system shaft is rigidly mounted on the end of motor shaft. The rotary angle measuring system thus assumes support of motor shaft at the B end.

  • Patent number: 6089116
Abstract: In a gearing stage, a driving first wheel has a ferromagnetic profiled rib which is circumferential in one thread, whereas a second driven wheel has permanently magnetic profiled ribs which are disposed in a multi-start manner and which extend only over a fraction of the circumference and are opposite the ferromagnetic profiled rib with a small air gap. The driving wheel drives the driven wheel via a magnetic reluctance coupling.

  • Patent number: 5932980
Abstract: In order to control the rotation speed of an output shaft (2) driven by an electric motor (3) by means of a gear mechanism (1), the difference of the rotation speeds of the motor shaft (4) of the electric motor (3) and of the output shaft (2) is measured by means of an incremental torque meter (5, 6, 8, 9, 10) as an actual value and is used in a control circuit for controlling the electric motor (3) in order to level deviations of the rotation speed of the output shaft (2) from a specified desired value.

  • Patent number: 5808185
Abstract: In an angle-of-rotation measuring device, which can be attached to a motor, is a rotor shaft which can be coupled in a force-locked manner to the motor shaft. The stator can be coupled to a fixed motor casing by means of a diaphragm which is fixed in a shape-locked manner to the motor-side end face of the stator by means of its inner region. The diaphragm encloses the stator in a sheath-like manner and has, at its outer rim remote from the motor, a bead which is clamped between the casing and a lid which seals the casing at the end face remote from the motor.

  • Patent number: 5744706
Abstract: A device for measuring the angle of twist (20) is mounted to an electromotor (10). The housing (21) of the measuring device (20) is sealed from the housing (13) of the electromotor (10) by a sealing element (30). The sealing element is designed like a disk, is fixed by its outer circumference on the housing (21) and rests in a sealing manner by its inner circumference on the shaft (22) of the measuring device (20). The sealing element (30) can be at least partially deformed in a flexible manner so that it can yield to a pressure gradient between the motor housing (13) and the housing (21) of the measuring device.

  • Patent number: 5686804
Abstract: A system for measuring the angle of rotation in order to determine the absolute angular position of the shaft of an electromotor is described which consists of a device for measuring the angle of rotation (10) and a control unit (11) connected to one another via an electric interface. The electric interface comprises an analog process data channel (8) and a digital parameter channel (9). The control unit (11) controls a change-over switch (7) of the process data channel (8) via the digital parameter channel (9). As a result thereof, a sine-cosine signal pair with one period for revolution is supplied via the process data channel (8) to the control unit (11) in order to determine the absolute angular position for the starting of the motor. Then, a sine-cosine signal pair with a high number of periods per revolution is supplied via the process data channel (8) in order to incrementally count the angle of rotation.

  • Patent number: 4652748
Abstract: In an angle step indicator, a positive connection for adjustment is provided between the input shaft of the angle step indicator and the drive shaft whose angular position is to be measured. The positive connection is created by a shaft end with an adjustable diameter. Preferably, the shaft end is spreadable by means of a spreading pin to generate the positive connection, whereby the spreading pin is accessible from its rear even when the angle step indicator is installed. An elastic angularly fixed connecting element takes up alignment tolerances between the input shaft and the drive shaft.
