Patent number: 8739939Abstract: A brake system for a vehicle can include a brake actuator, an equalizer operably connected to the actuator, and two brake wires that are each connected to the equalizer and extend to first and second brake assemblies. The first and second brake wires can extend in a first direction extending from a front of the vehicle toward a rear of the vehicle. The first brake wire can cross over the second brake wire at least once and possibly twice, each time in a direction transverse to the first direction. Additionally, the first and second brake wires can each include a cover that protects a respective wire. The covers can be in contact with each other at the crossover point for the wires to minimize noise, friction and to improve operating ability and durability of the brake wires. The various features, such as the cross-over configuration, the contacting wires, and/or the covers, also make it possible to minimize the space requirements for the wires in the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2012Date of Patent: June 3, 2014Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Joseph Aaron Mears, Hiroki Ishikawa, Kevin Scott Katerberg

Patent number: 8677668Abstract: A firearm locking apparatus has a casing body which lodges within the chamber of a firearm, a rod which extends through the length of the barrel of the weapon, and a lock body which attaches to an outward end of the rod extending from the muzzle of the weapon. The lock body is attached such that there is not a sufficient length of exposed portion of the rod between the muzzle of the weapon and the lock body to allow attachment of any commonly known tool to the exposed portion of the rod. When the lock body is locked, it cannot be removed from the outward end of the rod, and the lock body freely spins on the rod. This configuration prevents removal of the rod and casing body from the weapon until the lock body is unlocked and removed, which allows removal of the rod and casing body from the weapon.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2013Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Inventor: Joseph Aaron Caldwell

Publication number: 20080275963Abstract: A logic module receives a navigation request that includes an address identifying a resource stored at a remote server. The logic module determines whether the address is valid based on predetermined criteria. If the address is valid, the logic modifies the address to include values that indicate a device configuration of the user terminal. The logic then causes the address to be sent to the remote server. Upon receipt, the remote server retrieves and returns the resource to the user. The content of the resource is determined based on the indicators.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2007Publication date: November 6, 2008Inventor: Joseph Aaron Hatfield
