  • Publication number: 20180099167
Abstract: Provided herein is a sprinkler system including a compact-design connector coupling a flexible conduit to a sprinkler body. In one approach a sprinkler assembly includes a t-joint connector, a sprinkler body (e.g., a dry-type pendent body) coupled to the t-joint connector at a first opening of the t-joint connector, and a flexible conduit coupled to the t-joint connector at a second opening of the t-joint coupling. The sprinkler assembly may further include an adjustable bracket coupling the sprinkler body to a building structure, such as a ceiling or wall. The t-joint connector eliminates the use of an elbow-type connection to a flexible hose, thus enabling use in a freezer/cooler application, while also reducing the overall footprint of the sprinkler assembly.

  • Publication number: 20180100607
Abstract: Provided herein is a snap-to-grid bracket assembly for use with a fire suppression device. In one approach, a support assembly includes a bracket bar extending transverse to a beam, and a bracket assembly coupled to the bracket bar. The bracket assembly may include a first plate oriented substantially perpendicular to the bracket bar, the first plate having a first end coupled to the bracket bar and a second end, opposite the first end, coupled to the beam. The bracket assembly further includes a seating frame extending from the second end of the first plate, the seating frame including first and second members disposed on opposite sides. The bracket assembly further includes a second plate rotatable relative to the first plate, the second plate having first and second ends disposed on opposite sides of the beam, and a fastener coupling together the first and second plates.

  • Publication number: 20060090798
Abstract: Thermostatic mixing valves and systems for mixing fluids of dissimilar temperature are disclosed. A thermostatic mixing valve in accordance with an illustrative embodiment of the present invention can include an elongated valve body defining a cold fluid inlet, a hot fluid inlet, a mix fluid outlet and a mixing chamber, a fluid flow regulator for adjusting the flow of cold and hot fluid injected into the mixing chamber, and temperature selection means for adjusting the temperature of fluid contained within the mixing chamber. The valve body may have a vertical, in-line configuration wherein the hot fluid inlet, mixing chamber, and mix fluid outlet are substantially axially aligned along a vertical longitudinal axis of the valve body, allowing hot fluid to pass substantially vertically through the valve body towards the mix fluid outlet.
