Abstract: The present invention provides a glove for a wearer. The glove has a hand covering portion and an arm covering portion connected to the hand covering portion. The arm covering portion has a number of segments with each connected to one another by a pivot. The arm covering portion in a first position covers and protects the wearer. The arm covering portion in a second position forms an obstruction to prevent a liquid from contacting the wearer with the obstruction trapping the liquid therein.

Abstract: There is provided a hair care composition for protecting hair that is subjected to heat styling by a hair dryer or curling device. The composition comprises two compositions that naturally separate into distinct layers but easily intermix before use. The first composition prevents the hair from overdrying or heat dryout and, thus, leaving it brittle and more susceptible to cracking. The second composition prevents the hair from physical damage such as the rubbing and wear caused by brushing or combing. Thus, the present invention provides protection from heat dryout and physical damage that are commonly associated with heat styling.

Abstract: An aerosol hair spray composition which provides both significantly increased holding power and decreased drying time contains about 3.5% to about 5% of a lower alkyl ester of an alkyl vinyl ether maleic-acid copolymer, from 50% to 80% of a lower aliphatic alcohol, from 0.53% to about 0.72% of a neutralizing agent, from 25% to about 35% of a propellant and the aerosol spray is maintained at 30 to 50 lbs./sq. inch and delivered at a rate of 0.4 to 0.8 grams/sec. at 70.degree. F.

Abstract: A hair-waving product comprises a polyurethane film containing a hair-waving composition which is released from the polyurethane film when the film is contacted with wet hair. The invention also relates to a process of hair waving comprising rolling the polyurethane film into wet hair and allowing sufficient hair-waving treatment time to release the hair-waving composition.

Abstract: Method for preparing an antiperspirant composition of the water-in-oil emulsion type having improved application and aesthetic properties which comprises emulsyfing the aqueous phase in the oil phase in the presence of about 1 to 3% by weight of at least one C.sub.12 to C.sub.20 saturated fatty acid ester of polyglycerol containing about 2 to 10 repeating glycerol units.

Abstract: Antiperspirant compositions containing an aqueous solution of an astringent compound as a discontinuous or dispersed phase in a solid matrix of a volatile silicone, a solid alkanol containing at least 12 carbon atoms, a C.sub.4 to C.sub.8 alkylene diol, and a saturated C.sub.12 to C.sub.20 fatty acid ester of at least one polyglycerol emulsifying agent having a resultant HLB value of 6 to 9. The compositions may also contain an alkanoic acid having at least 12 carbon atoms.

More particularly, an indicating device comprising an oil absorbent indicating material, treated with an oil-soluble dye, surrounded by an oil permeable membrane.
