    Abstract: The present invention relates to an illuminated receptacle. In one particularly preferred embodiment, the receptacle preferably includes a body, a cover for coupling to said body, said cover having one or more sockets for receiving a plug, a tamper resistant (TR) platform associated with each of the one or more sockets, each of the TR platforms being disposed between the body and the cover, each of the TR platforms including a cavity and an aperture extending thru said platform in said cavity, a slider disposed within each of the cavities of the platform and aligned with the openings of a respective socket, and a light source disposed within each of the apertures formed in the platforms, the light sources operatively coupled to electrical power for generating light to illuminate said slider, the light sources being positioned to directly transmit light to the sliders.

    Abstract: A retainer device for securing a displayed electronic device with a hinged member and a base portion to a support includes a grooved track secured to the support. First and second retainers are positionable in the track to define a space for the electronic device and include shoulder portions for engaging the grooved track and apertures for receiving elongated fasteners. First and second sets of spacers having complementary recesses and protrusions and through-holes for receiving the elongated fasteners are disposed over the retainers. A slotted member, through which the hinged member of the electronic device can be inserted, is supported by the first and second sets of spacers. Elongated fasteners are insertable through the slotted member and the sets of spacers and are engagable with the retainers for securing the electronic device to the support. A front grip secures a front of the base portion of the electronic device to the support.

    Abstract: An alarm interface for a merchandise security system is coupled to an alarm system of the merchandise security system. The alarm interface includes one or more wireless interface transmitters and receivers. One or more output devices are connected to at least one of the one or more wireless receivers. In one aspect, the alarm system includes a controller for sensing alarm events, one or more hubs connected to the controllers, and a plurality of sensors capable of attachment to a plurality of objects to be secured. A set of sensors within the plurality of sensors is attached to a corresponding hub, and each sensor or hub generates an alarm event when separated from the controller or object to be secured. The wireless interface transmitters wirelessly transmit one or more alarm signals from the alarm system. The wireless interface receivers are adapted to receive at least one of these alarm signals transmitted from one or more of the wireless interface transmitters.

    Abstract: A security device that is attachable to a surface of display items. The security device includes a housing comprising a sensor body having a flat face plate, and a jack housing, and a dome shaped cover which is attachable to the flat face plate. Jack housing is attachable or molded to an inside face of the flat face and extends out from that inside face with an opening in the dome shaped cover forming an opening for the jack. Disposed on an outside surface of this flat face plate is an adhesive opposite the open port connection of the jack. The adhesive functions as a fastener, fastening the security device to the display device. To determine whether the security device has been detached from the display device, there is a switch disposed substantially in the housing. The switch is in contact with the surface of the item for display, so that when said housing is detached from the item for display, the switch triggers a signal, indicating that the device has been removed from the item for display.

    Abstract: A computer anti-theft security system comprises a USB connector having a housing section and a connector connected to the housing section. A cable is connected to the connector and extends through the housing section. The connector inserts into a USB port of a computer or peripheral and the cable is then connected to a central alarm monitoring unit. A sensor and electro-mechanical switch are disposed within the housing and connected to the cable as well. If the USB connector is disconnected from the computer or peripheral, thus opening the switch, or if the cable is cut, an alarm sounds from the central alarm monitoring unit.

    Abstract: A security anchoring system comprising a security anchor having an aperture therethrough and a plurality of flexible wings extending outward. There is an adhesive layer attached to the bottom surface of the anchor for adhering the anchor to the article. A security wire is threaded through the aperture in the anchor and is held securely within the aperture of the anchor. A diode is connected to an end of the security wire threaded through the aperture. A switch is located the end of the security wire near the diode. The switch is closed when the anchor is adhered to the article. The switch is opened when the anchor is removed from the article. There is a security monitoring system connected to an end of the wire not threaded through the aperture, which sounds an alarm when the switch is opened. The alarm will sound if a thief attempts to steal the article either by cutting the wire or by prying off the anchor.

    Abstract: An electronic security tag system comprising a security anchor having an aperture therethrough and a plurality of flexible wings extending outward. There is an adhesive layer attached to the bottom surface of the anchor for adhering the anchor to the article. A security wire is threaded through the aperture in the anchor and is held securely within the aperture of the anchor. A PC board having a diode is connected to an end of the security wire threaded through the aperture. A flexible adhesive tag is connected to the PC board. The tag has a circuit wired therethrough which is connected via the PC board to the diode. The security wire is connected to an electronic security monitoring system having an audible alarm. Cutting the security wire or the circuit in the tag triggers the alarm.
