  • Publication number: 20240152659
Abstract: A method of modifying a CAD system model performed on a data processing system includes receiving a dataset of co-ordinates representing an article in 2d, or in 3d and receiving 2d or 3d constraints respectively, to be applied to any changes to the dataset of co-ordinates for the article. A modification to be applied to the dataset is received and combined with the relevant 2d and 3d constraints to produce a constrained modification for each of the article and associated article. The constrained modification is solved in 2d and in 3d to determine whether a solution exists in which all constraints are met. If the solve is successful, the constrained modification is applied to each dataset simultaneously and, updated datasets are stored. If the solve fails, the constraints may be reduced and the solve step repeated, or the process is terminated.

  • Publication number: 20240018725
Abstract: Padded materials and corresponding systems and methods for forming the same are provided herein. A padded material comprises a first web of paper-based material defining a first and a second surface, and a second web of paper-based material defining a first and a second surface. A first layer of heat seal coating is disposed on the second surface of the first web, and a second layer of heat seal coating is disposed on the second surface of the second web. A starch-based padding is sandwiched between the first web and the second web such that the starch-based padding is positioned between the first surface of the first web and the second layer of heat seal coating disposed on the second surface of the second web. The padded material may be formed into a roll stock that is used in an automated packaging machine, such as an automated mailer formation device.

  • Publication number: 20200344094
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for one wire communication are disclosed. An apparatus has a line driver adapted to power one or more slave devices coupled to a one-wire serial bus, a circuit for encoding and decoding data in signals transmitted over the serial bus, and a controller. The line driver may maintain the wire at or above a voltage base level during transactions conducted over the wire. A data-encoded signal provided by the coding circuit may be transmitted on the wire in a first transaction and a data-encoded signal received from the wire may be decoded during a second transaction. The line driver may power the one or more slave devices when it maintains the wire at or above the first voltage level. The first signal and the second signal transitions within a voltage range defined by the first voltage level and a second voltage level.
