Patent number: 11963691Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2020Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Ryan M. Publication number: 20240113974Abstract: Mobile management method, system and client. Method includes receiving a DNS query for a host name from an application on client; retrieving reputation data associated with host name from a local cache on client; and determining a policy based on host name and the reputation data. Based on determined policy for the host name, blocking attempted network flows to a host corresponding to host name to produce blocked attempted network flows. Method also includes sending attempted network flow metadata related to the blocked attempted network flows to a collector on client; transmitting the attempted network flow metadata from the collector to a VPN server pool via a VPN tunnel; and producing an anomaly report from the transmitted attempted network flow metadata. The anomaly report includes at least one of anomalies, cohorts, trends, location boundaries, detected network security issues, detected compromised clients and/or optimized network usage.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: MOBILE SONIC, INC.Inventors: Joseph T. Patent number: 4269397Abstract: A method for measuring the thickness of a refractory laid-up against the interior surface of the steel shell of a metallurgical apparatus includes placing at least one monitoring device in a critical wear area of the apparatus in a manner such that the free end of the device is at a known distance from the hot face of the refractory and the confined end extends beyond the outer surface of the steel shell. The device is connected to an electronic time-domain reflectometer by electrical connecting means. Timed pulses are generated and impressed in the device by the instrument and reflections of the pulses are received by and are visually displayed on the reflectometer. The length of the device appears on the display as a straight line bounded by two inflections. The straight line is indicative of the thickness of the refractory. The device includes a metallic conductor coaxial with an outer metallic sheath and separated therefrom by a refractory having a desired dielectric constant.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1980Date of Patent: May 26, 1981Assignee: Bethlehem Steel CorporationInventors: Robert A.
