  • Patent number: 8205431
Abstract: A bearing like surface on a stationary component reduces deflection of an adjacent rotating component. The stationary component is generally parallel to and offset from a rotational component. The rotational component rotates about a central axis. Protrusions located on the stationary component are in contact with the rotational component to prevent deflection of the rotational component while reducing the friction between the rotational and stationary component. The protrusions have a generally flat surface that may be used to affix the protrusions to the stationary component. An arced surface of the protrusions is in contact with the rotating component. The number, size and the shape of the protrusions are determined by the requirements of the application.

  • Patent number: 4869280
Abstract: The collapsible crutch includes an elongated head section, at least upper and lower elongated, hollow midsections, and an elongated foot section. The head section has a mechanism for supporting a portion of the person using the crutch. The midsections are connected together by an elastic cord. A detachable coupler connects the head section to the upper midsection and a similar detachable coupler connects the lower midsection to the foot section. In an assembled mode, these sections are substantially axially aligned. The collapsible crutch also includes a coupling mechanism that provides a conjoined, axially and laterally stable, subassembly of the upper and lower midsections.

  • Patent number: 4677932
Abstract: A handicap turn signal bar is adapted to be mounted on an automobile's steering column. The steering column has a vertically actuated turn signal lever horizontally positioned and extending generally radially from the steering column. The handicap turn signal bar includes an elongated lever member substantially parallel to the turn signal lever. The member is pivotally mounted at the bottom of the steering column and one longitudinal end of the member is proximate a portion of the steering wheel. The other longitudinal end of the member is disposed in the vertical plane movement of the turn signal lever. A split clamp is attached to that other end of the member and is removably attached to the turn signal lever. The split clamp includes first and second mating parts which define a varied dimensional through-hole adapted to loosely encircle the turn signal lever.
