    Abstract: An evaporative cooler pad includes a high loft body of synthetic staple fibers having a plurality of channels extending along the longitudinal axis thereof. The open nature of the pad allows air to flow freely through the pad, while the longitudinal channels serve to wick water contacting the pad throughout the pad, thus optimizing the cooling efficiency of the pad.
