  • Patent number: 5553824
Abstract: A portable computer tray assembly (20) which includes a relatively thin, structurally rigid and length adjustable support surface (27) to accommodate and support a variety of portable computers (33) thereatop. The computer tray assembly (20) includes a relatively thin platform member (21) having a plurality of shallow strengthening ribs (23) laterally spaced-apart thereacross. Further, a relatively thin support member (24) is positioned adjacent and in abutting contact with the platform member (21), and includes a plurality of shallow support ribs (26) laterally spaced-apart across the support member. These support ribs (26) are formed for sliding interengagement with the strengthening ribs (23) of the platform member (21) to provide sliding interengagement therebetween to lengthen the support surface (23) which is aggregately formed by the platform member (21) and the support member (24).

  • Patent number: 5234212
Abstract: A document receiving tray assembly (10) including a base (14) formed for positioning beneath a document handling machine and for support of the weight of the document handling machine thereon to hold the tray assembly (10) in place relative to the machine. A document catching tray (16) is pivotally attached to the base (14) by hinged members (20 and 22) and is formed for catching documents ejected from the associated machine. The document catching tray (16) pivots between an open, extended position for catching documents and a closed, retracted position substantially above the upper surface of the document handling machine for storing the tray (16) above the machine while the base (14) is held in place beneath the machine.

  • Patent number: 4354795
Abstract: A load stabilizer for a forklift truck is disclosed which includes pivotal mounting means formed for selective movement between a deployed position over the forklift tines to a stored position in front of the forklift mast. The hydraulic drive means used to raise and lower the clamp structure also enables powered movement of the clamp structure between the deployed and stored positions.

  • Patent number: 4136793
Abstract: A load stabilizer for use with a forklift truck which includes a frame, top and side clamping mechanisms formed so that they may be clamped down on a load, for example boxes or the like, to hold the same in place while being carried by the forks of the forklift truck. The top and side clamps are gravity and spring biased to an unclamped position and are formed for displacement to a clamped position upon engagement of the top clamping mechanism with the load. The entire stabilizer can, while still mounted to the forklift, be positioned in a stored position for towing. The load stabilizer is hydraulically powered from the forklift truck hydraulic system and may optionally include hydraulic side clamping apparatus movable to a position enabling top clamping of wide loads.
