Abstract: A network architecture facilitates the monitoring and control of a number of storage systems (e.g., arrays) by one or more clients. In particular, the network architecture includes at least one storage management server, connected between the storage systems and a number of clients, for providing operation status information associated with the storage systems as well as storage connectivity devices to at least one of the clients.

Abstract: A trailer hitching alignment aid for helping a driver of a vehicle properly align the vehicle's hitch with the trailer tongue of the trailer. The trailer hitching alignment aid includes a vehicle mounted assembly designed for mounting to a vehicle above a ball hitch of the vehicle and a trailer mounted assembly designed for mounting to a trailer tongue of a trailer. The vehicle mounted assembly comprises a main member and an elongate end member coupled to the main member. The end member is designed for coupling to the vehicle such that the main member is positioned above the ball hitch of the vehicle. An elongate first guide rod is upwardly extended the main member. The trailer mounted assembly comprises an upper member and a lower member having a top portion coupled to a lower end of the upper member. An upwardly facing trailer magnet is coupled to a bottom portion of the lower member. A center extent upwardly extends from a center region of the trailer magnet.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for configuring a mass storage system, in which an array of disk storage devices connect to a storage controller and a plurality of host computers also connect to the storage controller, provide the capability, using a convenient graphical user interface at the host computer, for enabling the user at the host computer to determine the status and configuration of the system. The user can also, using the graphical user interface, modify the system status or configuration. Various graphical user interface techniques can be used including "click and drag" and other user friendly presentations and operations. The system uses either proprietary communications channels between disk drive controller and host computer, or modifies standard protocols in order to enable the necessary communications to occur.

Abstract: A model of arterial restenosis in domestic pigs using deep injury to the coronary arterial media resulting in extensive proliferative response. Metal wire coils are delivered percutaneously to the coronary arteries of pigs with an oversized, high pressure (14 atm) balloon and left in place for 5-6 weeks. During placement, the balloon expands the coils and delivers them securely within the arterial lumen causing fracture of the internal elastic lamina by the coil. An extensive proliferative response occurs and is associated with a lumenal area narrowing of at least 50% Immunohistochemical studies confirms the prominence of smooth muscle cells in the tissue. The histopathologic features of the proliferative response are identical to those observed in cases of restenosis post-angioplasty.This model closely mimics the proliferative portion of human restenosis both grossly and microscopically.

The intracatheter pump includes a motor or power source on the outside of the catheter which causes movement of a fluid moving mechanism positioned in the lumen of the catheter, the fluid moving mechanism being attached to the distal end of an elongated member which in turn is attached to the motor.
