    Abstract: A process and composition for ophthamological testing for patency in which there is direct observation of the rate and direction of flow of the composition toward and into the punctal orifices. The composition is a suspension of highly visible, minute particles in an isotonic liquid carrier, a drop of which is applied to the eyeball and the movement of the discrete particles observed under magnification at the meniscus formed at the margin of the eyelids.
