  • Publication number: 20240123224
Abstract: A system includes at least one electrode configured for transcutaneous stimulation of a pudendal nerve or surrounding perianal tissue or both. The at least one electrode is coupled to a substrate that includes a rectal portion and a buttocks support portion. The rectal portion includes a fecal blocking element. A control module is coupled to the at least one electrode, and includes a microprocessor for controlling operational parameters of the system.

  • Patent number: 4555888
Abstract: A method is disclosed for forming reinforced concrete structural panels wherein one or more preformed elongated structural ribs are inverted and placed horizontally into a form for casting a generally flat concrete structural slab. The structural ribs have joiners projecting downward into the form and the concrete slab which is cast in the form so that the joiners connect the reinforced ribs with the slab. In one embodiment of the invention a plurality of reinforced elongated ribs are disposed parallel to one another in the form and additional reinforcing members placed in the form perpendicular to the ends of the ribs to form a box-like structure. A plurality of these reinforced structural panels can be connected together by stringers run through the end members.

  • Patent number: 4363200
Abstract: A precast beam for use in constructing a building includes a substantially flat middle portion extending the length of the beam and upstanding sidewalls on either side of the middle portion defining a trough which also extends the length of the beam; the trough is open at each end of the beam and the beam is provided with tensioned reinforcing rods in the middle portion along its length and a plurality of stress relieving slits spaced along the upstanding sidewalls to prevent camber developing; the reinforcing rods of the beam protrude a selected distance from the ends of the beam; a method of construction is disclosed where forms for the vertical components are set in place, the precast beam is then set in place before the cementitious material is poured into the forms for the vertical components whereby the installation and proper orientation of the reinforcing rods of the precast beam and the flooring as well as the reinforcing rods of the vertical components can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4131278
Abstract: A game racket for a game generally similar to tennis but not employing a net, the racket consisting of a main body formed by a rigid ring with thin plate-like but resilient panels peripherally sealingly secured on opposite sides of the ring, defining a sealed air chamber therebetween. The ring has a handle which is offset from the center line of the racket by a distance sufficient to enable the user's index finger to supportingly engage the back of the main body substantially along the center line when the racket is gripped, so as to provide improved control of the racket when striking a ball and to relieve wrist tension. The sealed air chamber contributes to the bounce characteristics of the racket by acting as a resiliently compressible gas cell wherein the impacted panel distorts to a greater degree than the opposite panel, causing compression of the contained air which then immediately expands and reacts drivingly on the ball.
