  • Publication number: 20240139531
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for generating pulse pacing in a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (“WCD”). In one aspect the WCD circuitry includes a power source such as a battery coupled to a charger that provides charge energy to an energy storage module. Control circuitry is operatively coupled to the charger and the output circuitry, and configured to cause the WCD circuitry to generate pacing pulses delivered to therapy electrodes (attached to an ambulatory patient) without a current source. The WCD circuitry includes one or more processing elements that are used to execute instructions provided by one or more software modules that are configured to support various functionality, including controlling generation of pacing pulses.

  • Patent number: 9016555
Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible liner and bag-in-box container system comprising a collapsible container having a liner attached to the collapsible container, such that when the container is expanded from a collapsed state, the attached liner similarly expands. When the collapsible container is expanded, the liner may expand to substantially conform to the shape of the collapsible container. The liner may further comprise a filler fitting for receiving contents for filling the liner. The filler fitting may comprise one or more annular rings adapted to secure the filler fitting of the liner to an opening in the collapsible container. The collapsible container may be made of corrugated fiberboard. The collapsible container may further include tape having two adhesive sides for securing the collapsible container in an expanded state.

  • Patent number: 7798711
Abstract: The present invention is a collapsible liner for use in a bulk container. The liner comprises a first flexible panel, a second flexible panel, a first seal, a second seal, and a tab. The first flexible panel includes a first longitudinal edge. The second flexible panel includes a second longitudinal edge. The first seal joins the first and second panels near the first and second longitudinal edges and runs generally parallel to the first and second edges. The second seal joins the first and second panels and is generally oblique to the first seal. At least one of the panels extends across at least one of the seals to form the tab, which includes an attachment feature. The attachment feature may be a piece of tape affixed to the tab. The attachment feature may be a strip of fabric or other reinforcement material melted into the tab, sealed within the tab or affixed to the tab via an adhesive. The attachment feature may be a hole with sealed or unsealed edges.

  • Patent number: 7244064
Abstract: A bag for storing material in liquid or particulate form, comprising four side walls and top and bottom walls that are integral extensions of the four side walls, is characterized by an additional single or multi-ply sheet that overlies and is sealed to one side of said bag, said sheet material being adapted to be partially separated from itself so as to form a flap at the top end of the bag that can be gripped for use in supporting the bag as it is being drained of its contents via a drain located at the bottom end of the bag.

  • Patent number: 6364179
Abstract: A telescoping valve assembly that is integrally attached to a container. The valve assembly includes a slide member that is movably attached to a sleeve, the sleeve being attached to a liner or a container. The slide member can be telescoped to a desired protrusion distance from the surface of the container. Once the slide member is in the desired position, a plug is taken off and a valve shaft is turned. The valve shaft controls the opening and closing of a valve assembly inside of the slide member and in this way the precise rate of flow of material from the container can be controlled.

  • Patent number: 6247600
Abstract: A strainer device for use in straining a liquid such as paint from a container into an open receptacle. The strainer device comprises a side wall with a top end and a bottom end, an outwardly extending lip at its top end for engaging the top end of an open top container so as to support the strainer device in the open top of the container, and a screen mesh member fixed to a flange on the bottom end of said side wall. A selected portion of the side wall is indented from top to bottom so as to provide a channel along its length to permit introduction of an intake hose or other implement to a container in which the strainer device is suspended without having to first remove the strainer from the container.

  • Patent number: 5727878
Abstract: A flexible liner for use with a mixing container of the type having a bottom wall and a post extending inwardly of that bottom wall. The liner comprises a sleeve closed at its bottom end and open at its top end, and has a configuration generally complementary to the interior configuration of the container. The bottom end wall of the liner carries a fitment that has a tubular portion which has a closed top end and an open bottom end, and which has a configuration generally complementary to the configuration of the post. The bottom end of the sleeve has a hole in alignment with the tubular portion of the fitment. The liner is insertable into the container and conforms generally to the interior of the container, and the fitment fits over and receives the post. The tubular portion of the fitment receives a shaft that carries mixing blades for mixing fluids in the container. The flexible liner constitutes a barrier between the container and a fluid substance mixed therein.
