  • Publication number: 20150139817
Abstract: A ramp-up optimizing vacuum pump system comprising a vacuum pump in fluid communication with a blower and one or more apparatus and operable to create a vacuum flow from the one or more apparatus through the outflow of the vacuum pump. The blower is positioned between the vacuum pump and one or more apparatus. The blower includes a blower motor which is controlled by a blower controller and a unit controller. The unit controller increases the blower speed at a predetermined ramp-up rate. The blower controller optimizes the ramp-up rate of the blower based on the operating conditions by monitoring the current draw of the motor and the blower speed. If at any time the current draw exceeds a predetermined maximum at a certain blower speed, the blower controller maintains the blower speed until the current draw decreases below the maximum and then continues ramp-up up at the predetermined ramp-up rate.

  • Patent number: 5095503
Abstract: A unique cellular telephone controller (104 and 106) provides synthesized voice feedback for directory number confirmation, call status, and cellular telephone feature, option and service selection. Cellular telephone (100) includes a cellular telephone transceiver (102), cellular telephone handset (108), AM/FM radio (110), speaker (112), control box (106), and controller switch unit (104). Controller switch unit (104) includes phone switch (201), select switch (202), scroll up switch (203), scroll down switch (204), microphone (210), and preamplifier (211). Activation of the scroll up switch (203) or scroll down switch (204) steps a location counter through locations zero through ten of the telephone number directory in cellular telephone (100) and also voices the location number or name. Activation of the select switch (202) reads out the telephone number from the memory location indicated by the location counter and also voices the digits or name for the read-out telephone number.

  • Patent number: 5018188
Abstract: The single power conductor carries audio and a serial data bus. The microphone's amplifier (102) is connected to the conductor (108). The incoming audio signal rides on the DC supply voltage from the radiotelephone. The supply voltage, through a voltage regulator (103), supplies power to the amplifier (102) and a microprocessor (105), used to transmit the serial data message on the conductor (108). Both the amplifier (102) and the voltage regulator (103) are isolated from the power conductor (108) by a FET switch (104) that is controlled by the microprocessor (105). The switch (104) is turned off, isolating the circuitry when the microprocessor (105) is transmitting.

  • Patent number: 4860341
Abstract: A mobile radiotelephone call synchronization method and apparatus for a radiotelephone system utilizing a credit card for payment of calls is disclosed. Call access is denied a mobile unit until the user runs his credit card through a card reader to input credit card information. After checking list having a valid and invalid I.D., and checking the expiration date stored at the mobile telephone, the information is communicated by the mobile unit to a registration computer for approval. If approval is granted, the mobile unit is enabled for the user to make one or more radiotelephone calls.

  • Patent number: 4654655
Abstract: A multiple device serial data bus and signalling scheme is described. The serial data bus allows for inter-peripheral communication at a data rate established by a bus control unit. Clocking information is extracted from data communicated from the bus controller to the peripheral devices. Additional conductors for clock information are not required. In addition an arbitration scheme is provided to eliminate bus contention if several units request service simultaneously. The multiple device serial data bus is utilized on an as required basis and may communicate information at a variety of data rates.
