  • Publication number: 20070276731
Abstract: A system for obtaining credits, e.g. from a bartering group, and converting them to credits for playing games, such as arcade games or other games, and for awarding and/or redeeming coupons, prizes and awards link barter dollars or other units belonging to an individual with credits for playing games or for redeeming coupons, awards and prizes. One or more barter networks are linked with a gaming server that accepts and exchanges barter dollars into credits. The various barter networks may be linked to a global network of which they are members, and the global network may then connected to the gaming server. Various combinations of these connections may be used. In addition, a card that carries data from the barter networks to the gaming server may be used in lieu of, or in addition to, the links. The gaming system may award coupons, which then may be used to select prizes.

  • Publication number: 20050188607
Abstract: A method of removing methanol and other substances from crude biodiesel, includes mixing a silicone based adsorbent with the crude biodiesel. The silicone based absorbent may be a magnesium silicate adsorbent with a formula of 2 MgO:65:02 nH2O. A plant for making biodiesel fuel has a first section for making crude biodiesel fuel methanol therein, and a second section for removing the methanol from the crude biodiesel, the second section has a tank for mixing the crude biodiesel and the silicone based adsorbent for the methanol, and a filter for filtering the adsorbent mixed with methanol from the crude biodiesel thereby producing biodiesel.

  • Publication number: 20050081435
Abstract: In an economical and efficient process and apparatus for producing biofuel from waste oil, such as vegetable oils and animal fats, waste oil is esterified with alcohols to produce alcohol esters and the by-products of the transesterification reaction are recovered. Static pressure may be used as well as continuous flow-through reaction vessels and separation tanks without the need for additional pumps. There may also be specialized reaction tanks that have vertical rotating feed tubes having separators and inlet and outlet openings. The method and device achieves efficient production of biofuel while employing reaction and mixing tanks having a limited size, which in turn permits a smaller plant layout or “footprint”. For example, the largest tank may be in a size of about 36/100,000 times the desired plant output in gallons per year.
