  • Patent number: 4216612
Abstract: A wheeled vehicle having the appearance of an insect, such as a spider, includes a main body portion housing a drive mechanism for propelling the vehicle across a suitable supporting surface. The drive mechanism is shiftable for operating a cord winch for pulling the vehicle or drawing objects toward the mouth of the spider. A plurality of legs are mounted to the body portion by flexible couplings which permit the legs to engage the supporting surface so that they move randomly, during movement of the vehicle, to simulate a crawling action. A cockpit provided on the rear portion of the body is covered by a transparent shield and provided with indicia to define the control quarters of a mechanical spider device.

  • Patent number: 4191374
Abstract: A game apparatus for use with projectiles, such as table tennis balls, including a ball receiving housing having a ball entrance and ball guide apparatus leading to a target area to receive balls propelled toward it by a player or players. Balls arriving at the target area are received by ball propelling apparatus which return or eject the balls toward the player through ball ejection guiding passage apparatus and an ejection opening. The game may be played by a single player for practice or by several players to simulate tennis, table tennis, handball or the like.

  • Patent number: 4183533
Abstract: A novel amusement apparatus or target game includes a target for receiving projectiles aimed and fired from a mobile firing device. The target includes a plurality of separate, projectile retaining compartments which are open at the front and each compartment has a selected scoring value for projectiles that are accurately fired and retained therein. The mobile firing device is manually aimed and fired to forcefully propel the projectiles towards selected compartments of the target. The firing device includes a body, preferably in the form of an animal which is supported in upstanding position on a suitable playing surface and a firing head is pivotally mounted on the body and is biased for moving an outer end portion or nose to strike and fire a projectile toward the target.

  • Patent number: 4107872
Abstract: An action toy for children of tender years useful on land and water comprises a body having an outer surface shaped to resemble a human form in a generally horizontal position as in riding the surf. The body includes a pair of forwardly extending spaced apart arms and a pair of rearwardly extending spaced apart legs. A pair of relatively large wheels formed of flotation material such as resilient foam are mounted for rotation on a pair of spaced apart transverse axes extending between opposite outer end portions of the arms and legs respectively, and a power source such as a rubber band is provided for rotatively driving at least one of the wheels to propel the toy across a supporting surface or across the water.
