The method further includes depositing a magnetic layer with a grain refining dopant on the substrate. The magnetic layer with the grain refining dopant deposited on the substrate cooled to the cryogenic temperature has a magnetic moment that is greater than 2 Tesla and very soft magnetic properties.

    Abstract: A method includes depositing a layer of pole material on a substrate. The layer of pole material has a bottom surface that is adjacent to the substrate and a top surface that is opposite the bottom surface. A masking material is deposited over a portion of the top surface. Material from the pole material unprotected by the masking material is removed to form a write pole having first and second side walls. At least a portion of a trench formed by removal of the material from the layer of pole material is filled with a sacrificial material. The mask and a portion of the write pole at the top surface are removed to form a beveled trailing edge surface. The sacrificial material is then removed. Front shield gap material is deposited over the beveled trailing edge surface and over portions of the side walls.

    Abstract: An arrangement and method for controlling individual zones of a hot plate which is employed in a post exposure bake step of wafers in the fabrication of semi-conductor devices incorporating photolithographic processes using chemically amplified resist systems. Provided is an in situ temperature-controllable hot plate which includes temperature-controllable surface zones for supporting a standard single wafer, and having loading means which orient the wafer on the hot plate. The hot plate may be segmented into an array of individually controllable heating zones, while mounted above the hot plate is a thermal detection array, such as an infrared(IR) camera or pyroelectric or pyrometric detector which functions to detect and scrutinize the wafer surface temperature with regard to specific locations dispersed across the hot plate surface. This particular data is mapped into the hot plate zones, and the mapped data transmitted into a servo for zonal hot plate adjustment and temperature control.
