Abstract: A method of aligning an aircraft with a landing platform in motion comprises measuring a GPS heading with at least one GPS sensor positioned at a known location relative to the landing platform while the landing platform is in motion, measuring an orientation of the aircraft with an orientation sensor fixed relative to the aircraft, calculating an orientation of the landing platform from the GPS heading, calculating an orientation offset between the measured orientation of the aircraft and the calculated orientation of the landing platform, and changing an orientation of the aircraft or the landing platform to reduce the orientation offset. A system for landing and securing an aircraft in an enclosure, a system for disconnecting a tether from an aircraft, and a system for landing an aircraft in an enclosure are also described.

Abstract: A system is provided for settling cash letters containing check images that are exchanged by banks connected to an image exchange system (IEX). Settlement amounts are computed and sent to the Federal Reserve Banks' National Settlement Service (FRBNSS) for settlement based upon business rules. Further, a method is provided for processing a financial check transaction between a plurality of financial institutions, including at least first and second institutions, the method including providing electronic check data, relating to at least one check to be paid by the second institution, from the first institution to the second institution to effect an automatic check presentment; and automatically performing an electronic settlement determination for the at least one check, based on the electronic check data and predetermined business rules.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for continuous intraday final settlement of payment orders among a plurality of participants, each participant having facilities configured to electronically send and receive the payment orders in the form of payment messages. Primary positions, corresponding to balances in a prefunded balance account, are stored. Supplemental positions, corresponding to balances in the prefunded balance account, are stored. Payment messages are received from sending participants.
