  • Publication number: 20160039348
Abstract: A door for a vehicle includes an interior surface and a compartment extending into the interior surface for receiving a dispensable paper product. A cover is movable between a closed position covering the compartment and an open position exposing the compartment. The cover defines an opening for accessing the dispensable paper product. The cover includes an outer surface flush with the interior surface when the cover is in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 8807623
Abstract: An adjustable footrest includes various components that allow positions of the footrest to be changed or customized. For example, the angle, the depth, and the rotation of the footrest may be adjusted. Some footrest components may include a pivoting base. In addition, a tilt angle of a foot-support plate may be adjusted with respect to the pivoting base.

  • Patent number: 8770616
Abstract: A deployable footrest assembly includes a top plate that is actuated by an actuator such that the top plate is operable between stowed and deployed positions. During deployment, the top plate is released from a housing by moving a latch mechanism to an unlatched position. Once the top plate is released from the housing, the actuator provides an in-line assist feature to linkage arms of a linkage assembly. Powered by the actuator, the linkage arms rotate to a fixed or set position thereby allowing a vehicle occupant to use the unit as a deployed footrest. During stowage, the latch assembly is coupled to a stowage mechanism, such that when the latch assembly is actuated, the stowage mechanism pulls the linkage arms beyond the set locking threshold angle thereby enabling the top plate to collapse back to a stowed position.

  • Patent number: 6712392
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an automotive frame assembly (10) includes an inner rail (12) having an exterior side (26) and an interior side (30). First, the exterior side (26) of the inner rail (12) has fixedly attached thereto at least one flange (24) extending from a cross member (20). At least one two-sided fastener (28) is operatively applied to the exterior side (26) and the interior side (30) of the inner rail (12) so as to fixedly attach the flange (24) to the inner rail (12). Thereafter, the interior side (30) of the inner rail (12) has fixedly attached thereto at least one lip (32) extending from an outer rail (12″). Likewise, at least one two-sided fastener (28) is operatively applied to the exterior side (26) and the interior side (30) of the inner rail so as to fixedly attach the lip (32) to the inner rail (12).
