  • Publication number: 20240120736
Abstract: A control system may include a direct-current (DC) power bus for charging (e.g., trickle charging) internal energy storage elements in control devices of the control system. For example, the control devices may be motorized window treatments configured to adjust a position of a covering material to control the amount of daylight entering a space. The system may include a DC power supply that may generate a DC voltage on the DC power bus. For example, the DC power bus may extend from the DC power supply around the perimeter of a floor of the building and may be connected to all of the motorized window treatments on the floor (e.g., in a daisy-chain configuration). Wiring the DC power bus in such a manner may dramatically reduce the installation labor and wiring costs of an installation, as well as decreasing the chance of a miswire.

  • Publication number: 20240078509
Abstract: A method includes receiving at a computing platform communicatively connected to a system of nodes, an initial order to be physically fulfilled by one or more nodes of the system of nodes, wherein the initial order specifies a location and quantity parameters of fulfilment. The method further includes determining a fulfilment criterion for the initial order and determining a local fulfilment constraint for the initial order. Still further, the method includes generating, an optimized set of control inputs, wherein the optimized set of control inputs define actions to be taken by nodes to physically fulfil the initial order and realize at least one the one or more conditional optimization opportunities and sending the optimized set of control inputs to the nodes for physically fulfilling the initial order and realizing the at least one conditional optimization opportunity.

  • Publication number: 20230086055
Abstract: Systems and methods for using collaborative objects across a plurality of networked devices includes launching, at a first electronic device, a first instance of a collaborative user interface (UI), wherein the first instance of the collaborative UI is presented at a display of the first electronic device in conjunction with a video conferencing application, sending local constraint information of the first electronic device to a connection manager server. The method includes receiving from the connection manager server, data associated with a collaborative object, wherein the data associated with the collaborative object comprises a local constraint information of a second electronic device or a first control input received through a second instance of the collaborative UI launched at the second electronic device and displaying, through the first instance of the collaborative user interface, a token of the collaborative object.

  • Patent number: 5638980
Abstract: A fluid storage safety device comprised of a pair of end portions. Each of the end portions has a concave end and a convex end. The convex end has an outer periphery. The outer periphery has a series of alternating abutted and recessed portions disposed thereon. The pair of end portions are adapted to be received within open end portions of a storage tank with the outer periphery of the convex end aligned with a peripheral outer edge of the open end portions of the storage tank. The pair of end portions are secured within the open end portions by welds at the meeting point of the outer periphery of the convex end and the peripheral outer edge of the open end portions of the storage tank.
