    Abstract: Standard platforms are integrated into a mason's scaffold to reduce manufacturing and assembly costs. The standard platforms having hooks on both ends. The hooks are supported on lower horizontal members of respective rectangular frames. Platform fasteners are secured to each lower horizontal member with the standard platform hooks therebetween, thereby retaining the standard platforms to the frames to form a working deck. Each platform fastener comprises a metal sheet to which is welded an L-shaped bar that engages a hole in the frame lower horizontal member. A pin slides within the metal sheet and cooperates with the bar to positively secure the platform fastener to the frame lower horizontal member. Similar standard platforms and platform fasteners are assembled to upper horizontal members of the frames to form a protective canopy. Hatches with selectively openable doors may be used for some sections of the canopy.

    Abstract: In an adjustable corner post for suspension scaffolding an outer tube is concentric to an elongated member such as a wire rope or rod and has an internal thread in a nut at one end. A tubular adjusting screw having an external thread is concentric to the elongated member and screws into the thread of the outer tube for reacting directly or indirectly with the elongated member so the outer tube rises and lowers when the screw is rotated in opposite directions. A platform supporting structure is supported on the adjustable posts and is leveled by selective rotation of the screws. A method of assembling suspension scaffolding using the adjustable posts is described.

    Abstract: A scaffold joint for connecting the ends of horizontal scaffold members to vertical scaffold members. Spaced pairs of ring support members are fastened to the vertical scaffold members by welding or other suitable means. End connector assemblies are fastened to the ends of the horizontal scaffold members. Each of said end connector assemblies includes an end connector member and a locking assembly slidably mounted thereon. Each locking assembly is comprised of a wedge member and a wedge retainer member. The wedge retainer member is free floating relative to the wedge member and cooperates with a bolt to prevent inadvertent dislodgement of the assembly. Each end connector member has a pair of ring engaging portions adapted for engagement with the spaced ring support members on said vertical scaffold members.

End connector assemblies are fastened to the ends of the horizontal scaffold members. Each of said end connector assemblies includes an end connector member and a locking member slidably mounted thereon. Each end connector member has a pair of ring engaging portions adapted for engagement with the spaced ring support members on said vertical scaffold members. The locking members are adapted when moved to their locked position to make tight wedging contact with a ring support member, thereby causing the ring engagement portions on the end connector members to be forced into tight engagement with the ring support members to thereby lock the horizontal scaffold members to the vertical scaffold members.
