  • Patent number: 6485684
Abstract: A fluid disinfection or sterilization system includes spray nozzles (26) for spraying an anti-microbial fluid on the exterior of an endoscope (14) supported in a microbial decontamination chamber (10a, 10b). The endoscope includes interior lumens which are microbially decontaminated by flowing anti-microbial fluid from outlets (28) through the lumens. A port (36) is connected with a leak detector. In order to ensure that the proper leak detector and anti-microbial fluid ports of the disinfection or sterilization system are interconnected with the proper lumen ports of the endoscope, a tethered connection assembly (50) is provided. The tethered interconnection assembly includes fittings (60, 62, 64) which are uniquely configured for interconnection with an appropriate one of a high pressure port, a low pressure port, and the leak detector port. Fittings at the other end of the tube assemblies (56) are configured for interconnection with appropriate corresponding ports of the endoscope.

  • Patent number: 5580293
Abstract: A toy stairway is disclosed which may be used to play with a spring toy and which comprises elongated first and second collapsible side rails in confronting spaced relationship relative to each other, a plurality of rigid steps disposed between the first and second side rails, and means for releasably connecting the plurality of steps to the first and second side rails. Each side rail may be coilable and resilient, or may be foldable and comprised of a plurality of hingedly connected fold sections. The first and second side rails preferably are formed from a single stringer having a first portion and a second portion, the stringer being made of a material to permit the stringer to bend for bringing the second portion in a confronting spaced relationship relative to the first portion to define the first and second side rails. The stringer may be made of a coilable resilient material or of a foldable material comprised of a plurality of hingedly connected fold sections.

  • Patent number: 4614015
Abstract: A device for stabilizing/ejecting a lamp from a plug-in socket wherein the lamp is mountable in a frame. The device includes a spring member for stabilizing the lamp in the frame and an ejection member pivotally attached to the spring member. The ejection member includes an upper ejector, or cam formed therein for separating the socket from the lamp, an outwardly extending lower ejector for ejecting the lamp from the frame and a lever for sequentially actuating the upper ejector and the lower ejector in one stroke. The stroke moves the lever from a rest position in which the spring member is operative, through a transition position in which the upper ejector is operative to eject the socket from the lamp and to reinforce the spring member to stabilize the lamp during the socket separation. The lever moves from the transition position to a final position in which the lower ejector is operative to eject the lamp from the frame.

  • Patent number: 4562047
Abstract: A sterilizer container includes a seal member so positioned on the container that movement of the outer cover of the container to a contaminating position requires fracturing the seal, thereby destroying the utility of the seal member and thus providing a visual indication that the articles within the container are contaminated. Further, the seal member includes a sterilization indicator which provides a further indication that the articles contained within the container are sterile.
