Abstract: A building machine, especially a road finishing machine, comprising a presence detection system. The presence detection system comprises a sensor which is integrated in the control panel of the building machine. By means of the sensor a distance measurement can be carried out, which determines whether the operator is properly seated on the driver's seat of the building machine or whether he stands properly at the standing work place. In order to determine the presence a tolerance range may be specified, which allows a slight movement of the operator on the driver's seat. If the operator approaches the limits of the tolerance range he is asked in time by warning signals to be seated again properly on the driver's seat or adopt a proper position at the standing work place. If the sensor detects no operator on the driver's seat or at the standing work place all of the functions of the building machine are stopped in order to make sure that the work site is safe.

Abstract: In a road finishing machine with a screed having a hydraulically movable extendable screed part, an electronic control device and a control panel linked to the control device and including an actuation instrument manually movable by the operator for adjusting the value of a control current for a proportional magnet of at least one proportional control valve and which can adjust the speed of a hydraulic movement actuator of the extendable screed part, a maximum value of kinetic resistance noticeable by the operator can be generated within the movement path of the movement actuator for adjusting either a predetermined movement speed or a transition between two different movement speeds of the movement actuator of the extendable screed part.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a construction machine with automatic fan rotational speed regulation. The construction machine includes at least one electric motor that is connected functionally to a respective fan and a control unit formed for the purpose of registering operation-specific data. The control unit is configured for the purpose of regulating, depending on the operation-specific data, an electric output of the respective electric motor in order to adjust a desired target fan rotational speed on the fan.

Abstract: An external control stand for a self-propelled construction machine. The construction machine has a working component that can be operated from the external control stand. The invention includes a lighting device for illuminating a ground section on the external control stand, as seen in the direction of travel, in front of, behind and/or below the external control stand.
