Patent number: 11946400Abstract: A lean-burn internal combustion engine and an exhaust aftertreatment system having an oxidation catalyst are described. A controller determines a fueling rate and a mass flowrate of the exhaust gas feedstream. An inlet temperature of the exhaust gas feedstream upstream of the oxidation catalyst is determined via the first temperature sensor, and an in-use outlet temperature of the exhaust gas feedstream is determined downstream of the oxidation catalyst via the second temperature sensor. An expected outlet temperature from the oxidation catalyst is determined based upon the inlet temperature, the fueling rate, and the mass flowrate of the exhaust gas feedstream. The oxidation catalyst is evaluated based upon the expected outlet temperature and the in-use outlet temperature.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: PACCAR IncInventors: Trevor Joseph Ott, Cynthia Chaffin Webb, Charles Wayne Reinhardt Swart

Patent number: 10876293Abstract: A composite structural member for a building structure comprises a first elongate portion having a first end region and a second end region and a second elongate portion having a first end region and a second end region. The second end region of the first elongate portion is connected to the first end region of the second elongate portion so that the composite structural member provided thereby is substantially longer than either of the first and second elongate portions. The first elongate portion may comprise a first member suited for resisting high magnitude forces and the second elongate portion may be a second member, less well suited for resisting high forces but having lower cost per unit length. The composite structural member may be a rafter, especially a rafter of a portal frame.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2019Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: AUVENA PTY LTD ATF AUVENCO UNIT TRUST ACN 613 738 551Inventors: Ronald Joseph Webb, Hamish John Webb

Patent number: 9409627Abstract: A collapsible watercraft assembly can include a first pontoon half, a second pontoon half, and a frame member. Each pontoon half can have a top surface, a bottom surface, and at least one post. The first pontoon half and the second pontoon half can be positionable with respect to one another in an operating configuration and a stowed configuration. The operating configuration can be defined when the sterns of the pontoon halves confront one another and the stowed configuration can be defined when the top surfaces of the pontoon halves confront one another. The frame member can be concurrently engageable with the posts to fix the pontoon halves together in the operating configuration. The posts can be interconnected with one another when the first pontoon half and the second pontoon half are in the stowed configuration.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2015Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Inventors: Joseph Webb Fulop, Anthony Fulop

Patent number: 9271592Abstract: An adjustable rod assembly includes first and second tubes having first and second arcuate portions, third and fourth tubes of generally straight configurations, first and second end supports, and a tension rod mechanism fixedly secured within the third tube. A first end of the first tube is telescopingly received within the third tube and a second end of the first tube is telescopingly received within the second tube. The third tube is rotatable relative to the first tube and is rotatably secured within the fourth tube. The fourth tube is secured to the first end support and the second tube is secured to the second end support. The tension rod mechanism rotates with the third tube and has a threaded portion configured to extend from an interior of the third tube to an interior of the first tube.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2012Date of Patent: March 1, 2016Assignee: Zenith Products CorporationInventors: Kaveh Didehvar, Joseph Webb, Alex Mikita
