    Abstract: A grain cart is provided having a storage hopper for holding crop material, load cells positioned on the grain cart to measure a weight of crop material in the grain cart and an indicator connected to the load cells. The indicator can be operative to receive signals from the load cells indicating the weight measured by the load cells and to send an electrical signal on an output connection in response to a predetermined weight of crop material being removed from the grain cart. The output connection can be electrically connected to a close gate conductor wire that is operatively connected to the gate actuator, so an electrical signal generated by the indicator on the output connection of the indicator causes the gate actuator to close gates in the storage hopper stopping crop material from being discharged from the storage hopper.

The wheel assembly can include a first side front wheel, a first side rear wheel, a second side front wheel and a second side rear wheel. A first side steering link assembly can be operatively coupled between the first side front wheel and the first side rear wheel to cause the first side front wheel and the second side rear wheel to pivot in opposite directions. A second side steering link can be operatively coupled between the second side front wheel and the second side rear wheel to cause the second side front wheel and the second side rear wheel to pivot in opposite directions. A unison linkage assembly operatively can couple the movement of the first side rear wheel and second side rear wheel.

    Abstract: A road/rail vehicle has front and rear road wheels, an engine driving the rear road wheels, and an indicator of actual vehicle speed. Retractable front and rear rail wheels are mounted on the vehicle and movable from a raised road position for operation in a road mode to a lowered rail position where the rail wheels engage rails of a railroad track for operation in a rail mode. A suspension system is adjustable in the rail mode to vary a weight proportion of vehicle weight that is a tractive weight carried by the rear road wheels and a guidance weight carried by the rear rail wheels, and a suspension control is adjusts the suspension system to provide a selected weight proportion. A maximum allowable vehicle speed decreases as the tractive weight increases and a maximum speed indicator shows the maximum allowable vehicle speed for the selected weight proportion.

    Abstract: A road/rail vehicle apparatus comprising a vehicle frame, and a rail axle with rail wheels rotatably attached to ends thereof. The rail axle is attached to the vehicle frame by a parallel link assembly. An airbag mounting plate is fixed to a link arm of the parallel link assembly, and an airbag is attached at a lower end thereof to the airbag mounting plate and attached at an upper end thereof to the vehicle frame. An airbag control is operative to vary air pressure inside the airbag, and as the airbag expands and contracts as the rail axle moves up and down the end plates of the airbag remain substantially parallel to each other increasing the range of travel and reducing lateral stresses on the airbag.
