  • Publication number: 20240101456
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for biological wastewater treatment for Se control in Se-laden wastewater. The Se contaminants in the wastewater include the Se oxyanions selenate (SeO42-) and selenite (HSeO3?), which are biochemically reduced and transformed to elemental selenium (Se0) by microorganisms through anaerobic biological reduction. The resulting Se0 is entrained in the biomass, which is further processed to enable the efficient recovery of concentrated Se0.

  • Publication number: 20230055279
Abstract: An aqueous solution comprising a cationic polymer dissolved in water, wherein said cationic polymer comprises a hydrophobic quaternary ammonium group covalently attached to a hydroxyethyl cellulose polymer backbone. Also, a method of delivering a drug to a mucosal surface in a living body, said method comprising applying the aqueous solution to said mucosal surface.

  • Publication number: 20220198418
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for using a distributed ledger (e.g., blockchain) to create an online ticketing platform for the buying and/or selling of authenticated live event tickets. More specifically, exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for creating a blockchain-based online ticketing platform that may be decentralized, that may be public, and that may be transparent to a buyer and/or seller of live event tickets (e.g., sporting events, concerts, theatrical productions, and other live entertainment events). An exemplary embodiment may include a system for electronic commerce in a distributed computing system with blockchain protocols and smart contracts that may comprise: a decentralized, public, and permission-less online platform for the electronic commerce of secure digital assets, wherein the secure digital assets are managed by the blockchain protocols and smart contracts; and a truth source.

Inventors: Jimmy C. KANG, Evan Kress Frohlich, Joshua Katz
  • Publication number: 20220122072
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to systems and methods for secure redemption of electronic tickets. In an exemplary embodiment, secure redemption of electronic tickets may be achieved using a unique dynamic QR barcode that is encoded with information identifying a specific customer. In an exemplary embodiment, secure redemption of electronic tickets may be achieved using a distributed system with blockchain protocols and smart contracts. More specifically, particular embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for creating a blockchain-based online ticketing platform that is fully decentralized, completely public, and may be entirely transparent to a buyer and/or a seller of live event tickets (e.g., sporting events, concerts, theatrical productions, and other live entertainment events).
