  • Publication number: 20240111289
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to arranging a pickup between a driverless vehicle and a passenger. For instance, dispatch instructions dispatching the vehicle to a predetermined pickup area in order to pick up the passenger are received by the vehicle which begins maneuvering to the predetermined pickup area. While doing so, the vehicle receives from the passenger's client computing device the device's location. An indication that the passenger is interested in a fly-by pickup is identified. The fly-by pickup allows the passenger to safely enter the vehicle at a location outside of the predetermined pickup area and prior to the one or more processors have maneuvered the vehicle to the predetermined pickup area. The vehicle determines that the fly-by pickup is appropriate based on at least the location of the client computing device and the indication, and based on the determination, maneuvers itself in order to attempt the fly-by pickup.

  • Publication number: 20240089100
Abstract: A secure enclave may be used to satisfy privacy requirements and audit requirements. Code may be loaded into the secure enclave. The code may generate a predefined report based on data and added noise. The pre-defined report may be subject to audit requirements. The data may be subject to the privacy requirements. The secure enclave may generate an encryption key and a decryption key based on the code. Only the secure enclave may have access to the decryption key. And the secure enclave may allow only a verified copy of the code to access the decryption key. With the added noise, the report may satisfy a pre-defined differential privacy guarantee. Encrypting the code and ensuring that the report satisfies the differential privacy guarantee may satisfy the privacy requirements. Retaining the report, the code, the secure enclave, and the encrypted data may satisfy the audit requirements.

  • Publication number: 20220388871
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to systems and methods for monitoring pool or spa water, and determining an operational status of a pool or spa pump. The system includes a monitoring device engaged with a component of a pool or spa plumbing system, and in communication with a server. The server receives data from the monitoring device relating to characteristics of water within the component detected by the monitoring device. Based on the received data, the server can determine whether the data should, be discarded, and a runtime of the pump. The server can also receive vibration energy information from the monitoring device, determine runtime events of the pump based thereon, and determine whether the data should be discarded based on the vibration energy information. An adapter for coupling a monitoring device to a pool or spa plumbing system component, and retaining fluid within a reservoir portion thereof is also provided.
