An authorized user profile may comprise at least voice information and a plurality of customized environmental settings. The environmental settings may comprise settings appropriate for the space. Spaces such as, but not limited to, a vehicle, an office space, a home, and/or a hotel room may be secured and customized through customized environmental settings. An output device may present a challenge phrase to an individual seeking access to the physical space. An input device may detect a spoken response to the challenge phrase. If the spoken response detected matches both the challenge phrase presented and the voice profile of a user, then the customization settings for that user may be implemented.

Abstract: In accordance with one exemplary embodiment of the invention, a radio frequency identification (RFID) transaction device is used to complete a transaction. The RFID transaction device may communicate a tertiary number and/or a URL instead of sensitive transaction device information. The tertiary number and/or URL may point the RFID transaction device to a third-party authorizing agent. The third party may verify that the URL and/or a tertiary number corresponds to a valid transaction account on the account provider system. The third party may use the URL and/or the tertiary number to locate the appropriate verifying (e.g., “validating”) information for confirming the transaction account validity. Once the third party verifies the validity of the transaction account using the URL and/or the tertiary number, the third party (e.g., account issuer or acquirer) may provide authorization to the merchant that a transaction may be completed.

Abstract: An aircraft window configuration utilizes a laminate build-up of the primary pane to increase damping and reduce the structural response to the turbulent boundary layer outside the aircraft. The laminate may consist of several acrylic layers or a combination of acrylic and glass layers. Noise dampening results from the introduction of a transparent visco-elastic material or a urethane. A vacuum layer may be introduced between the primary pane and a middle, or fail-safe pane. The vacuum layer decouples the panes over a broad frequency range resulting in a lower response of the inner pane that radiates noise into the passenger cabin. Such a window configuration reduces weight and improves noise performance. A damped laminate also reduces pane deflections into the air stream and improves aerodynamic performance of the aircraft.
