The grease strainer having a substantially flat plate like member of a predetermined shape and thickness with a plurality of apertures formed through the strainer to allow grease to drain. A handle having a predetermined shape is attached at a first end thereof to an upper surface adjacent an outer edge of the substantially plate like member.
