  • Publication number: 20080186409
Abstract: A silicon tuner using a sigma delta-analog digital converter (SD-ADC) includes a radio frequency (RF) signal processor to process an RF signal input from an antenna, a mixer to convert the RF signal into an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, an SD-ADC to convert an IF signal into a digital signal, and an IF signal processor to process the converted IF signal. Accordingly, a silicon tuner in which a signal processor and a size are improved is provided.

  • Publication number: 20070105513
Abstract: A radio reception device for receiving both terrestrial and satellite digital broadcasting. The device includes a reception device for a first radio communication method and a reception device for a second radio communication method. The reception device for a first radio communication method includes a first reception unit which receives and amplifies a first input frequency signal, a Local Oscillation (LO) signal generation unit which generates an LO frequency signal, a first mixing unit which outputs a frequency down-converted signal, and a signal processing unit which receives the signal output from the first mixing unit and performing signal processing. The reception device for a second radio communication method includes a second reception unit which receives and amplifies a second input frequency signal, a frequency divider, and a second mixing unit which outputs a frequency down-converted signal to the signal processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20070049330
Abstract: A wireless transceiver for receiving and processing a wireless local area network (WLAN) radio frequency (RF) signal and a satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) RF signal, and generating and transmitting a WLAN RF signal, is provided. The wireless transceiver includes a reception antenna for receiving the WLAN RF signal or the satellite DMB RF signal; a quadrature demodulator for down-converting the received signal into a baseband signal, based on a local oscillator signal, and providing the baseband signal to a baseband processor; and a local oscillator signal generation unit which is configured to generate the local oscillator signal according to whether the received signal is a WLAN RF signal or a satellite DMB RF signal.

  • Publication number: 20070001768
Abstract: A broadband low noise amplifier and amplification method is provided. The broadband low noise amplifier includes an input terminal into which a radio frequency (RF) signal received by an antenna is input, an output terminal from which an amplified RF signal is output, at least one gain control part connected in parallel with loads of the output terminal to adjust the gain of the amplified RF signal, and at least one load tuning part that resonates with loads of the output terminal to adjust the resonance frequency of the load impedance. The method includes amplifying the input RF signal and outputting the amplified RF signal to an output terminal, where a gain of the amplified RF signal is adjusted by switching operations of at least one switching device connected in parallel with a load of the output terminal.
