  • Publication number: 20130025507
Abstract: A foldable table may include a table top and legs movable between an extended position and a collapsed position. A first portion of a side rail may be connected to a first table top section and a second portion of the first side rail may be connected to a second table top section. An engaging portion of the first portion of the side rail may be at least partially disposed in a receiving portion of the second portion of the side rail when the table top is in the folded position and an engaging portion of the second portion of the side rail may be at least partially disposed in a receiving portion of the first portion of the side rail when the table top is in the folded position.

  • Publication number: 20130025509
Abstract: A foldable table may include a table top and legs that are movable between an extended position and a collapsed position. The table top may include a first section and a second section that are connected by a hinge assembly. A locking member may be sized and configured to lock the hinge assembly in a fixed position. Advantageously, moving the legs between the extended and collapsed positions may cause the locking mechanism to move between the locked and unlocked positions. Thus, when the legs are in the extended position and the locking mechanism is in the locked position, the table top may be secured in the unfolded position.

  • Patent number: 8042475
Abstract: A table may include a table top, a frame and one or more legs that may be movable between extended and collapsed positions relative to the table top. Advantageously, the table top may include a generally planar upper surface and a generally planar lower surface. The lower surface of the table top, however, may include a first lip disposed proximate a first end of the table top and a second lip disposed proximate a second end of the table top. The lower surface may also include mounting members that are sized and configured to allow a frame to be connected to the table top. Desirably, the mounting members allow side rails of a frame to be attached to the table top and at least a portion of the side rails are disposed between the first and second lips. This may allow at least a portion of the frame to be exposed and visible when the table is being used.

  • Patent number: 7475641
Abstract: A folding table is disclosed having a two-stage folding mechanism. The folding table includes a table top divided into a first planar portion and a second planar portion. A pair of side rails is connected to each planar portion. A foldable leg and support brace is connected to each planar portion. A hinge assembly is provided disposed between the first planar portion and the second planar portion. The hinge assembly includes a hinge pin, a first hinge connector and a second hinge connector rotatably disposed on the hinge pin. The first hinge connector has a cam portion. A locking pin is disposed through a slot in the second hinge connector so that when the locking pin is positioned nearest the hinge axis, the cam portion abuts the locking pin, thus locking the table top. When the locking pin is positioned farthest from the hinge axis, the first hinge connector is able to freely rotate about the hinge axis.

The table top may be divided into a first section and a second section, and a hinge assembly may connect the first section of the table top to the second section of the table top to allow the table top to be selectively moved between a folded position and an unfolded position. The hinge assembly may include a locking member that may be sized and configured to lock the hinge assembly in a fixed position. In addition, the hinge assembly may include a lever that is sized and configured to move the locking member between a locked and unlocked position.

  • Publication number: 20060107903
Abstract: An enclosure may be used to house one or more animals, such as cats, dogs or other household pets. The enclosure is preferably configured to be moved between an expanded or use position and a collapsed or storage position. Advantageously, the collapsed position may allow the enclosure to be easily shipped and transported. In addition, the enclosure may include one or more living hinges that facilitates moving the enclosure between the use and collapsed positions. Further, when the enclosure is in the collapsed position, the roof is preferably disposed between the walls and the floor so that the enclosure can be disposed within a relatively small and compact package.

  • Publication number: 20060108899
Abstract: A storage enclosure may include a number of components, such as floor panels, wall panels and roof panels, which may be interconnected to form a structure such as a storage cabinet. The storage enclosure may include wall panels with outwardly extending projections that are sized and configured to allow the wall panels to be connected to floor panels and roof panels. The storage enclosure may also include one or more living hinges, which may facilitate storage and/or shipping of the storage enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20050045074
Abstract: A table may include a table top, one or more side rails, and one or more legs that are movable between an extended position and a collapsed position relative to the table top. The side rails are preferably attached to one or more lips or projections that extend downwardly from a lower portion of the table top. The side rails may include three portions that may enclose at least a portion of the lip. Advantageously, the side rails may be attached to the lip by a snap, friction or interference fit. In addition, an outer portion of the side rail may be generally aligned with an outer edge of the table top.
