  • Publication number: 20200357271
Abstract: A method and apparatus for actuating a push-to-walk button wherein a force is received upon a pedal. The force received upon the pedal is then mechanically conveyed to a first cam and applied to the first cam is substantially tangential manner. In response, the first cam rotates and causes a force to be applied to a second cam in order to cause the second cam to impart a force on the push-to-walk button.

  • Patent number: 10294492
Abstract: The invention relates to non-integrative lentiviral vectors and their use for the stable transgenesis of both dividing and no-dividing eukaryotic cells. The invention also provides methods for obtaining these vectors, the use of these vectors for the production of recombinant lentiviruses, and the use of these recombinant lentiviruses for obtaining a cell able to stably produce a product of interest.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 27, 2014
Date of Patent: May 21, 2019
Assignee: FUNDACIÓN CENTRO NACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIONES CARIOVASCULARES CARLOS III (CNIC)

  • Patent number: 8897529
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for non-convex prior image constrained compressed sensing are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is provided for iterative image reconstruction for medical imaging applications which employ a prior image to constrain the reconstruction process allowing the use of fewer high SNR samples or complete but lower SNR samples. The objective function made use of non-convex compressed sensing methods during the iterative reconstruction process. Applications include, but are not limited to radiation dose reduction and fast image acquisition.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 25, 2014
Assignee: Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research
Inventors: Juan Carlos Ramirez Giraldo, Joshua Trzasko, Shuai Leng, Armando Manduca, Cynthia H. McCollough
  • Publication number: 20140023711
Abstract: The invention relates to a bioactive surface comprising a polymer matrix, a connecting complex comprising at least one compound covalently bound to the surface of the polymer matrix, and a gene transfer vector bound to the connecting complex, wherein the compound of the complex is covalently bound to the transfer vector using a group selected from among carboxyl, amino, isocyanate and hydroxyl. The invention also relates to the use of the bioactive surface for transferring a nucleic acid to a cell. The invention further relates to: an implantable device characterized in that at least part of the surface thereof is coated with said bioactive surface, and to the use of the implantable device for transferring a nucleic acid to a cell. In addition, the invention relates to a method for transferring a nucleic acid to a cell and to a kit for performing said method.

  • Patent number: 8628045
Abstract: A high-lift device track 5 comprising a first track end 6 comprising attachment points for the high-lift device 4, two vertical flanges 16 connected by a horizontal web 17, a set of raceways 10,11,12 for guiding rollers 13 or glide pads, and a gear rack 7 installed between said flanges 16 over a first track segment 18. This first track segment 18 presents an inverted-U, or cross-section. However, between said first track segment 18 and a second track end 20 opposite to said first track end 6, the track 5 comprises a second track segment 21 presenting a depth d between the horizontal web 17 and lower edges 25 of the vertical flanges 16 which decreases towards said second track end 20, so that, at said second track end, the track presents an H cross-section. FIG. 4.
