  • Patent number: 9097326
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic oil-driven structural support rotating mechanism comprising at least two hydraulic cylinders for driving the rotational movement of the structural support with respect to at least one axis, selected from vertical, horizontal or a combination of both, and a hollow core, comprising at least one opening on its side surface for the passage of a first and a second pivotable hydraulic cylinder, fixed to the core by means of two parallel vertical shafts, the ends of each hydraulic oil cylinder being fixed by attachment means to a rotating mechanical element selected from a slew ring or bearing, located inside the hollow core to which it is fixed by rotating mechanical element-core attachment means, and attached to the structural support by structural support-rotating mechanical element attachment means.

  • Patent number: 8845104
Abstract: The invention relates to a solar tracker having oleo-hydraulic cylinders that increase the rigidity of the system by keeping the two chambers of each cylinder pressurized, even while on stand-by. This makes the system more accurate, avoiding undesirable cylinder movement caused by oil compression. The system includes a circuit having at least one cylinder assembly (8,9), an oleo-hydraulic plant and a control system (5), wherein the oleo-hydraulic plant supplies the oil to the cylinders controlling the speed of movement of these latter, and the control system (5) supervises and controls the correct operation of the entire system and protects said system against possible accidents.

  • Publication number: 20120260968
Abstract: It comprises a frame with an upper structure (4) supporting photovoltaic modules (12) and further comprises a solar tracking mechanism which produces the frame's rotation with an azimuthal axis and a horizontal axis. The frame comprises a base (3) with assembled profiles, integrated with the ground. The upper structure (4) comprises lateral profiles (5) in a Z-shape, placed one on each side; an upper central profile (7) and a lower central profile (8) connected with connecting rods (15) and placed longitudinally among said lateral profiles (5), and transversal crossbeams (9) in the lower part of the lateral profiles (5) and the central profile (6). An actuator (11) located on the central part of the central profiles (7, 8) causes a relative movement of the central profiles (7, 8) and this way the horizontal rotation of the modules (12) is generated.

  • Publication number: 20110005577
Abstract: Low concentration solar plant and method for maximizing the electricity production of the photovoltaic modules thereof, that uses a combination of tracking and low concentration solar technologies for maximizing the electricity production of conventional photovoltaic modules, the system used to protect the modules being any method designed to protect photovoltaic modules from the damage they may suffer when subjected to very high intensity solar radiation. Preferably, to avoid possible damage, the invention proposes a temperature measurement and/or control system that assists a mechanism for defocusing the photovoltaic modules when said radiation reaches a predetermined level. The invention is applicable to photovoltaic solar electricity production.
