  • Patent number: 11979243
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for supporting a two-stage device-to-device (D2D) discovery using a D2D interworking function (IWF). A D2D IWF component may be configured to perform mapping between an application running on an application server and a third generation partnership project (3GPP) network, and provide a set of application programming interfaces (APIs) to allow discovery to be provided as a service to D2D applications. An application identifier may be mapped to a 3GPP identifier. Further, a method and apparatus are described for performing client-server discovery. A first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured for a listen-only operation, and a second WTRU may be configured to transmit beacons. The first and second WTRUs may perform a radio access network (RAN) discovery procedure at an access stratum (AS) layer. A method and apparatus for performing charging for D2D service using a D2D IWF are also described.

  • Publication number: 20160275620
Abstract: System and methods for trading and managing special purpose contracts of privately held assets via crowdfunding portals. The invention includes creating financial instruments for use by approved parties involving equity ownership, debt obligations or revenue sharing agreements of an underlying hard asset/business. The instruments are sold to approved/certified buyers who desire the contracts for ownership and economic interest. Intrinsic contract value is determined by terms of the agreement, revenue stream from the underlying asset, and time period remaining in the contract. The computer-based trading system receives buy and sell orders for the derivative financial instruments from a plurality of client computers. The server computer matches the buy orders to the sell orders and manages ownership interest via an asset exchange and management program executed by the server computer.

  • Publication number: 20130300049
Abstract: A portable rack for supporting a construction tubular during the working thereof includes a base having disposed at generally opposite ends thereof a pair of upwardly projecting tubular support pillars, each provided tubular support pillar having a generally V-shaped notch aligned one to the other. Each V-shaped notch is provided with disruptions adapted to promote frictional engagement in place of a supported construction tubular. Such disruptions may be formed as circular ribs, elliptical ribs, saw tooth shaped ribs, V-shaped notches, rectangle or square-shaped notches, or a patch of denticles or like protrusions or protuberances. The portable rack may be used on a workbench, tabletop, floor or on the ground.
