    Abstract: A tower for a wind turbine extending axially along a longitudinal axis of the wind turbine includes a rail attached to an external surface of the tower, the rail providing a guide to which a service trolley is attachable in order to be movable along the rail. The tower includes: a plurality of axially adjacent tower segments, each tower segment extending axially between two axial ends, a respective flange being provided at one or both of the axial ends for connecting the respective tower segment to another tower segment. The rail is provided at the flange.
