  • Publication number: 20220410077
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing ceramic gas-separation membranes, which comprises depositing, by means of inkjet printing, water-based inks that form layers of a gas separation membrane. More specifically, the method comprises at least the following steps forming a porous support (i) compatible with a functional separation layer; depositing on the support (i), by means of inkjet printing, at least one functional separation layer (ii) formed by at least two inks, and depositing at least one porous catalytic activation layer (iii) on the functional separation layer (ii); and performing at least one heat treatment, which produces sintering. The functional separation layer (ii) is deposited in a manner to produce a surface with fadings, patterns, or combinations thereof he invention also relates to a gas separation membrane produced using the described method.

  • Publication number: 20160280588
Abstract: Inkjet compositions that can be applied to glass and/or ceramic substrates to impart contrast gloss (luster). The inkjet compositions include solvents, additives for dispersion, and inorganic substances, but preferably do not include any color-producing ceramic pigments. The inorganic substances contained in the inkjet compositions are responsible for the effects on the surface of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20130265376
Abstract: Inkjet compositions that can be applied to glass and/or ceramic substrates to impart various effect to the substrate after firing, including: gloss, matt, contrast gloss (luster), specular reflection (metallic appearance), relief and slipperiness. The inkjet compositions include solvents, additives for dispersion, and inorganic substances, but preferably do not include any color-producing ceramic pigments. The inorganic substances contained in the inkjet compositions are the responsible for the above mentioned effects on the surface of the ceramic article. Depending on the type of effect desired, the inorganic substance may be a specific frit, a crystalline oxide, or a combination of frits and crystalline oxides.

  • Patent number: 7037868
Abstract: The present invention provides zinc-free glass frits that can be used to formulate glaze compositions that develop glossy surfaces when fired on ceramic products such as floor tile and wall tile. The zinc-free glass frits include, by weight, from about 50% to about 70% SiO2, from about 5% to about 20% CaO, from about 3% to about 15% Al2O3, up to about 20% BaO, up to about 15% B2O3, up to about 10% K2O, up to about 10% Na2O, up to about 10% ZrO2, up to about 5% MgO and up to about 5% PbO and less than 0.5% ZnO. Glaze compositions comprising the zinc-free glass frits can be fired using conventional double fast firing, single fast firing, and gres porcellanato ceramic firing cycles.
