    Abstract: A vertical band saw machine includes a first transmitting shaft driven by a drive force of a motor, a second transmitting shaft journaling a lower blade mounting pulley for rotating an endless band saw blade, and a speed ratio varying device coupling the transmitting shafts. The device includes two pitch-variable first and second pulleys mounted on the transmitting shafts, a belt trained on the pulleys, and a control unit operable to move a movable disc of the second pulley toward or away from a fixed disc of the second pulley so as to vary the radial distance between the belt and each of the transmitting shafts, thereby freely varying the speed ratio of the second transmitting shaft to the first transmitting shaft so as to rotate the saw blade at a desired speed.

A blower casing is disposed outwardly of the supporting unit, and defines an accommodation chamber disposed downstream of the outlet port and receiving a driving end of the driving shaft. An impeller is mounted on the driving end and is rotatable so as to draw wood dust from the dust passageway into the accommodation chamber and out through a discharge port.

The dust-collecting device includes a dust-discharging unit and a dust-guiding unit. The dust-discharging unit includes a dust-collecting seat disposed fixedly on a side cover of the grinding wheel unit, and a suction fan assembly disposed within the dust-collecting seat. The dust-guiding unit includes a conduit communicated with a dust-receiving chamber in the grinding wheel unit and an accommodating chamber in the abrasive belt unit. The grinding wheel unit, the abrasive belt unit and the suction fan assembly are driven by the driving unit. Dust is induced by the suction fan assembly to move from the dust-receiving chamber and the accommodating chamber into the dust-collecting seat.

    Abstract: A conveyer belt-adjusting device for a conveyer unit includes a platform for supporting two rollers at two opposite sides thereof. An endless conveyer belt is disposed around the rollers. A pushing rod extends along a transverse direction of the conveyer belt, and is disposed between the platform and a bottom belt portion of the conveyer belt, and is also between the rollers. The pushing rod presses against an intermediate portion of the bottom belt portion such that the intermediate portion of the bottom belt portion is disposed below two ends of the bottom belt portion. Two adjustable supporting units support respectively two opposite ends of the pushing rod on the platform, and are located respectively at two opposite sides of the conveyer belt. Relative vertical positions of the ends of the pushing rod can be changed by adjusting the supporting units.

The drive roller has opposite first and second end surfaces that are formed respectively with axially extending first and second rotating shafts. The fixing member is sleeved fixedly on the first rotating shaft, and is connected fixedly to an end of the sand belt. The pulling member is sleeved rotatably on the second rotating shaft, and is connected fixedly to the other end of the sand belt at an eccentric position. The resilient member biases the pulling member to rotate about the second rotating shaft in a direction so as to tauten the sand belt on the drive roller.
