  • Patent number: 11512192
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition comprising a) a thermoplastic matrix polymer based on one or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer(s), wherein the thermoplastic polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyolefins, polystyrene, polyacrylates, ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer, and copolymers and blends of the aforementioned, b) an inorganic flame retardant, c) a polymer based on one or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomers and having a plurality of alkoxysilane and/or acetoxysilane groups covalently linked to the polymer, wherein the ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomers of component c) are different or have a different composition than the ethylenically unsaturated monomer(s) of component a) and d) a clay.

  • Patent number: 6894101
Abstract: The invention relates to a cross-linkable, halogen-free, flame-resistant plastic mixture which can especially be used, in a cross-linkable state, for coating cables. The inventive plastic mixture comprises the following plastic components: (a) 3 to 50 weight parts (phr) of at least one ethylene copolymer from the group comprising ethylene vinyl acetates, ethylene ethyl acrylates, ethylene methyl acrylates or ethylene butyl acrylates, (b) 30 to 96 weight parts (phr) of a high-density polyolefin, especially a HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) having a density of >0.94 g/cm3, and (c) 1 to 20 weight parts (phr) of a polyolefin which has been grafted with a derivative of an unsaturated carboxylic acid, especially HDPE-g carboxylic acid derivatives. Components (a) to (c) together produce a total of 100 weight parts (phr) of plastic. The mixture also comprises the following components: (d) 40 to 250 weight parts (phr) of a filling material, and (c) 0.1 to 15 weight parts (phr) of a stabilizer system.

  • Patent number: 6426440
Abstract: The work-up of the gaseous products from the thermal cracking of 1,2-dichloroethane is simplified if the cracking gases are cooled to a temperature range of about 150 to 180° C., only a subsidiary proportion, which comprises all the coke formed, being condensed and fed to a separate work-up.

  • Patent number: 6204419
Abstract: Process and apparatus for preparing 1,2-Dichloroethane by direct chlorination If in the reaction of ethylene with chlorine to form 1,2-dichloroethane (EDC) the catalyst components sodium chloride and iron(III) chloride are used in a molar ratio of below 0.5, then the EDC is obtained in sufficiently high purity to allow direct conversion to vinyl chloride. With maintenance of the stated molar ratio the reaction can be carried out very advantageously in terms of equipment and energy consumption, for example by vaporizing some of the EDC in an expansion vessel.

  • Patent number: 4829986
Abstract: A lithotripsy work station for disintegrating a calculus in a patient has a patient support table on which the patient is disposed, a drive unit for selectively positioning the table, a shock wave generator, an x-ray system for generating a three dimensional visual representation of at least the region of the patient in which the calculus is disposed. The location of the focus of the shock wave generator is known with respect to the x-ray representation. A mark generator generates at least one mark superimposed on the x-ray representation, and also generates a signal which is supplied to the drive unit which causes the drive unit to position the table based on the position of the mark on the x-ray representation with respect to the position of the focus.
