  • Patent number: 8981317
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for recognizing tumorous living cell tissue. It furthermore relates to a method and to an apparatus for recognizing tumorous cell tissue at collected living cell tissue samples. In the method, electromagnetic radiation is emitted with local definition onto cell tissue by a radiation source and, after deactivation of the radiation source, the decay behavior of the inherent fluorescence intensity of the cell tissue excited by the electromagnetic radiation is detected at the cell tissue in a time resolved and spectrally resolved manner at known sampling rate(s) for at least one wavelength using a detector.

  • Publication number: 20130252340
Abstract: The method comprises the following steps: bonding at least one chemical, optically luminescent compound (3) onto at least one indicator element (6) for testing the treatments (14), wherein at least one luminescence property of the chemical compound (3) can be changed; assigning at least one indicator element (6) to the object (1); wherein the indicator element (6) and the object (1) are simultaneously subjected to the same conditions of the energy-introducing treatment (14); changing the luminescence property of the chemical compound (3), wherein the level of the change to the luminescence property depends upon the energy-introducing treatment (14); irradiating (13) the chemical compound (3) with electromagnetic radiation directed onto the indicator (6) for excitation of the luminescence during the energy-introducing treatment or following the energy-introducing treatment (14).

  • Patent number: 8364247
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for determining the sex of birds' eggs. It can be used for an early determination of the sex, in particular in poultry farming, and in this respect also with non-incubated eggs. In the method in accordance with the invention, electromagnetic radiation is emitted onto the blastodisk of an egg by a radiation source and, after a switching off of the radiation source, the decay behavior of the autofluorescence intensity excited by the electromagnetic radiation is detected by a detector at the irradiated region of the blastodisk with time resolution and spectral resolution for at least one wavelength of the autofluorescence. The fractal dimension DF is calculated using the determined measured intensity values and the value of the fractal dimension DF is compared with a species-specific and sex-specific limit value, wherein, when the limit value is exceeded, the respective egg is classified as female and, when it is not reached, the egg is classified as male.

  • Publication number: 20040099227
Abstract: A reservoir includes an orifice, a cover for closing the orifice and at least one blocking device for blocking the cover against opening in the event of excess pressure in the reservoir. The blocking device blocks the cover by a form fit.
