  • Publication number: 20080167043
Abstract: The invention is related to a controller of a communication system, the controller comprising: means for determining user terminal time delay between delivery and acknowledgement of a transmission; means for conveying the user terminal time delay; means for calculating switching time delay; and means for transferring user terminal data conveyance to the handover target network controller at a moment based on the switching time delay.

  • Patent number: 7039407
Abstract: A method and system for determining the synchronized value of a first counter of a wireless communication system serving a user station which moves at a time of handover from a first coverage area controlled by a first controller into a second coverage area controlled by a second controller. A value of the first counter is maintained in the first controller up to the time of the handover. During handover a request is sent to the user station for a constant value representing the difference between the first counter and a second counter, the value of the second counter being maintained in the second coverage area. At a later time the second controller receives an updated value of the second counter and determines an updated value of the first counter at that later time using the constant value.

  • Publication number: 20060080387
Abstract: This invention relates to a communications network, comprising a first network controller, a second network controller and a proxy function, said proxy function being arranged when control of user equipment is to change from said first network controller to said second network controller to cause said first network controller to release resources associated with said first controller.

  • Publication number: 20060072577
Abstract: A cellular telecommunications network includes a method for messaging across a lossy interface. The method includes transmitting a control information entity having a control message. The method also includes monitoring for reception of a data information entity of a certain type. The method also includes, if a data information entity of a certain type is not received within a predetermined time period, retransmitting of the control information entity having a control message.

  • Publication number: 20050148357
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for serving radio network subsystem relocation from a first radio network controller to a second radio network controller for an established call to a user equipment, comprising transmitting a transmission power control combination index of a radio link established between the user equipment and the first radio network controller to the second radio network controller.

  • Patent number: 5635885
Abstract: The invention relates to a resonator shell construction, comprising at least two metallic shell modules (41-44) connected to each other to form a modular shell construction, each module enclosing at least one resonator cavity (42-52). The modules comprise wall portions (41a-41c, 42a-42c, 43a-43c, 44a-44c) projecting from the modules, said wall portions being connected to one or more modules, whereby one or more new resonator cavities (61-68) are formed between the modules.
