Abstract: A monitoring system includes a monitoring management server (MMS), a monitoring agent server, a database, and a plurality of hosts, wherein, the monitoring agent server is directly connected to the database. The monitoring agent server simultaneously serves several hosts, collects status information from the hosts, and the stores the status information into the database so that an administrator can monitor and inquire the status information. Therefore, the monitoring agent server is used to as a transmission interface between the hosts and the database.

Abstract: A cloud system includes a security center server, a monitoring server, and a host. The host is deployed by the monitoring server after booting to install a detecting procedure and execute a local security policy therein. The host provides a self-monitoring operation through the detecting procedure and replies to the monitoring server when any monitoring data therein exceeds a threshold value according to the local security policy. The monitoring server judges whether the host is attacked or not, and notifies the security center server when the host is judged to be attacked. After receiving the notification, the security center server analyzes attack types, and generates a new security policy according to analyzed results. Finally, the security center server redeploys the host by the new generated security policy, so as to update the local security policy in the host, and protects the host from the attack.

Abstract: A cloud cluster system and a boot deployment method for the same are disclosed, wherein the cloud cluster system comprises a boot server, a management server, a system storage pool and at least one host. After the host is powered on, the host executes a network boot procedure according to a netboot policy. Next, the host connects to the system storage pool for accessing the corresponding root file system, and downloads the golden image from the boot server in order to complete the network boot procedure. After booted, the host is deployed by the management server. The management server enables the corresponding content of the host according to configurations thus the deployed host acting as the corresponding role in a cloud cluster system.

Abstract: A system for managing and monitoring cloud hosts and method thereof is disclosed. The monitoring system comprises a cloud host and a plurality of monitoring servers. Each monitoring server is respectively used for processing data of different categories. The cloud hosts detect each host status of their own for generating a plurality of status data. The plurality of status data respectively records the data of different categories. Next, the cloud hosts respectively transfer the status data of different categories to corresponding monitoring servers. The plurality of monitoring servers save the status data of the cloud hosts by the categories, and respectively execute the following processing steps. Thus, the burden of the single server is reduced because the status data processing is shared.

Abstract: A method for automatic installation and setting of a server is disclosed. When a blank server is installed to one of a slot of a server rack and connects to a switch, a boot server retrieves media access controls address of network connection interface in the blank server from the switch, and matches the MAC address and internet protocol address of the blank server. Next, the boot server performing the corresponding installation and setting operation in the blank server based on the IP address of the blank server. Thus, the blank server is able to perform the predetermined role and utilized by the server system immediately after the installation is accomplished.

Abstract: A method of oxidizing hydrocarbons in liquid phase is provided. According to this method, a liquid-phase oxidation reaction of hydrocarbons is carried out by using an organic compound capable of chelating metals as auxiliary agent, represented by formula (II), in the presence of an oxygen-containing gas and a transition metal catalyst. Accordingly, the conversion degree of the hydrocarbon is increased, and the overall yields of products are improved while the selectivity of catalytic oxidation reaction is still high.
