  • Publication number: 20090106364
Abstract: A method and an apparatus can be provided for identifying and separately treating peer-to-peer traffic in a network. For example, the method can include identifying a supernode of a peer-to-peer network using intelligent heuristics. The method can also include identifying additional nodes of the peer-to-peer network using feedback. The method can further include marking the supernode and additional nodes as peer-to-peer nodes in a list. In certain embodiments, the method can additionally include updating the list using an intelligent update.
