  • Patent number: 11981537
Abstract: The arrangement comprises a self-climbing installation platform comprising two consecutive decks, a machine room deck suspended from the installation platform and an elevator car suspended from the machine room deck. Each deck, the machine room deck and the car are supported movably with guide means on guide rails and locked and unlocked with locking means to the guide rails and/or to guide rail fixing means. Lifting means powered by a power source move the two decks in relation to each other. The installation platform climbs stepwise along the guide rails by alternatingly locking and unlocking the lower deck and the upper deck to the guide rails and/or to the guide rail fixing means and thereafter raising the unlocked deck.

  • Patent number: 11618647
Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator car parking brake comprising a brake carrier having a first plate and a second plate, the plates being spaced from each other and positioned to enable a guide rail to travel within the space between the plates, a caliper movably connected to the brake carrier, brake pads, and an actuator configured to move the brake pads against a guide rail in a braking operation. The elevator car parking brake further comprises at least one first compression spring arranged between the first plate of the brake carrier and a brake pad directly associated with the actuator; and at least one second compression spring arranged between the second plate of the brake carrier and the caliper, the first and second compression springs being configured to keep the brake pads substantially centered with respect to the brake carrier.

  • Patent number: 10773923
Abstract: In the technical field of elevator systems, so as to provide a measure for preventing an overspeed governor rope inertia from unwantedly engaging a safety gear in an overspeed governor system, which has a governor rope connected to a moving mass of the elevator system, a machinery brake for decelerating the moving mass so as to perform a quick stop of the moving mass, a safety gear mounted to the moving mass, a synchronization linkage for tripping the safety gear and a synchronization linkage blocking device for blocking the synchronization linkage and/or a governor brake for braking the governor rope, it is determined whether a quick stop of the moving mass is performed, and the governor brake or the synchronization linkage blocking device is activated when the quick stop of the moving mass is performed.

  • Patent number: 8387756
Abstract: A solution for the allocation of destination calls in an elevator system includes one or more single-deck elevators and one or more multi-deck elevators, in which system the passenger enters a destination call via a destination call device. The destination call entered by the passenger is received, an elevator type to serve the destination call is selected on the basis of an elevator type selection criterion, and the destination call is allocated to an elevator consistent with the elevator type thus selected.
