  • Patent number: 8104626
Abstract: A mounting bracket (16) has a mounting pin (24) for fitting round hole racks (18) and a mounting sleeve (26) which slidably extends over the mounting pin (24) for fitting square hole racks (12). A lock pin (28) and a lock sleeve (30) are spaced apart from the mounting pin (24) and slidably extend for fitting within holes of respective racks (18, 12) to prevent removal of the mounting pin (24) and the mounting sleeve (26) from the racks (18, 12). A safety lock (180) is located adjacent the lock pin (28) for preventing removal of the lock pin (28) from a rack mounting hole, which prevents removal of the mounting bracket (16) from the racks (12, 18). A release pin (182) extends through a rack mounting hole and the mounting bracket (16) for moving the safety lock (180) to a position located aside of the lock pin (28).

  • Patent number: 7967399
Abstract: A drawer slide (12) has a moveable lock member (30) and a set of spaced apart slots (24, 26, 28) configured for receiving respective chassis mounting lugs (22). The slots (24, 28) are substantially vertical, and the slot (26) extends on one side of the slots (24, 28) and at an angle to the vertical, sloping downward and away from the slots (24, 28). The lock member (30) is linearly moveable from a closed position adjacent to the slot (24) to an open position aside of the slot (24) to selectively allow the mounting lug (22) to be removed from the slot (24). The lock member (30) includes an elongate tab (42) for slidably fitting within an elongate slot (44) in the drawer slide (12), and an elongate slot (58) through which a rivet extends to slidably secure the lock member (30) to the drawer slide (12).

Abstract: A telescoping support member (42) is provided for supporting a central portion (38) of a cable management arm (24) for use with drawer slides (14, 16). The drawer slides (14, 16) each have a cabinet member (18), an intermediate member (20) and a chassis member (22). The cable management arm (24) is secured on one end to one of the chassis members (22) and on an other end to one of the cabinet members (18). The support member (42) has a first end (50) pivotally secured in fixed relation to one of the intermediate members (20) and a second end (52) pivotally secured in fixed relation to one of the cabinet members (18). Extension of the drawer slides (14, 16) extends the cable management arm (24) and the support member (42), with said support member (42) disposed beneath and in sliding engagement with the central portion (38) of the cable management arm (24).

  • Patent number: 7513581
Abstract: A chassis lock (32) for drawer slide (12) is provided by a slot (20) and a rotary lock member (34). The rotary lock member (34) has a disk-shaped body (36) with an arcuately shaped cutout portion defining a cam follower surface (38). A stop protuberance (42) extends from the rotary lock member (34) with opposite ends (47, 49) which locate the rotary lock member (34) in an open position and a closed position. A torsion spring (50) urges the rotary lock member (34) into the closed position. The weight of a drawer is applied through a mounting lug (30) to the cam follower surface (38), to move the rotary lock member (34) to the open position which aligns the cam follower surface (38) for passing the mounting lug (30) into a lock section (26) of the slot (20). When in the closed position, the disk-shaped portion (36) of the rotary lock member (34) prevents removal of the mounting lug (30) from within the lock section (26) of the slot (20).

  • Patent number: 7258583
Abstract: A cable management arm (12) has elongate arms (22) and protuberances (26) which are spaced apart to define generally serpentine spaces (28) for passing cabling (44) to secure the cabling (44) within the cable management arm (12). The elongate arms (22) extend from lower portions (20) of the cable management arm (12), spaced apart from a vertical side (16) of the cable management arm (12). Upper portions (18) of the cable management arm (12) have edge recesses (24) formed therein to define the protuberances (26). A second cable management arm (102) has opposed cable retention members (138, 142) defined by generally serpentine slots (136) formed into tubular members (122) secured to elongate sections (104, 108) of the second cable management arm (102). The serpentine slots (136) define cable entry openings (144) for passing cabling (44) into the tubular members (122) to secure the cabling (44) to the cable management arms (102).

  • Patent number: 6856505
Abstract: A drawer (20) of a server system rack (12) includes a flexible cable management arm (114) which is molded of plastic for securing cabling (34) between a moveable tray (38) and an electronic switch (30). The molded cable management arm (114) is preferably formed as a single member (116) having hinges which are defined by hinge regions (120). The hinge regions (120) have oppositely disposed grooves (121, 123), which are formed in opposite sides of the single member (116). Cable retention tabs (140) are integrally molded into the single member (116) and are L-shaped. Adjacent ones of the cable retention tabs (140) extend fromalternating ones of opposite edges (142) of the single member (116), with outer portions (144) of the retention tabs (140) extending across and spaced apart from a main body portion (145) of the molded plastic cable management arm (114).
