Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to compositions and methods for improving T cell therapy. In particular, the disclosure provides polypeptides and recombinant nucleic acid constructs and/or recombinant nucleic acids encoding polypeptides having mutations capable of altering T cell signaling, cytokine production, and/or in vivo persistence in tumors of therapeutic T cells comprising the mutation. The T cell signaling can be by NFAT, NF-?B and/or AP-1 pathways. The disclosure also provides vectors and cells including the polypeptides and/or recombinant nucleic acid constructs and/or recombinant nucleic acids of the disclosure as well as methods of preparing a T cell for use in cell therapy, and methods of identifying a mutation useful for improving T cell therapy.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a downhole device for hydrocarbon producing wells without conventional tubing (tubingless completion), which improves the hydrocarbon production (gas, oil and condensate), selectively controls produced solids (reservoir sand and hydraulic fracture proppant) and eliminates liquid loading. The device of the present invention is designed according to selected well and reservoir characteristics by an integral methodology which includes the stages: data collection and analysis of the well operating conditions, selection of candidate well, sampling and analysis of produced solids, simulation of production conditions, design and manufacture and installation.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mixing device including a chamber defining a circulation zone, the circulation zone including at least one base liquid and a mixing fluid, the mixing fluid being less paramagnetic than the base liquid, the mixing fluid including and/or consisting of at least one first fluid, the mixing device including at least one magnetic element which generates a magnetic field in the circulation zone so that the mixing fluid flows into the base liquid, the chamber including at least one first injection point of the first fluid into the circulation zone, the first injection point opening into the base liquid.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical preparation suitable for use in the eye, which comprises: (i) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier suitable for use in the eye; (ii) one or more ingredients selected from factors and agents that promote any one or more of survival, health, cell attachment and normal differentiation of ocular surface epithelial cells and optionally factors and agents to prevent squamous metaplasia; (iii) one or more agents capable of altering the fluid properties of a tear film including at least one agent capable of establishing and/or maintaining a stable tear film and optionally one or more agents selected from opthalmological lubricating agents, viscosity enhancing agents and agents capable of reducing tear film evaporation; the factors and agents in component (ii) and (iii) being synthetic or recombinant or licensed for pharmaceutical use.
